So tonight will be the fifth cycle at .5. What next? Is it time to go down to...?

How are you feeling about how his cycles are going at the moment?
Would you feel comfortable holding a little longer?
On TR you would hold for a week in green (ie normal numbers 50-80 on human meter), or a drop below 50, but of course with dry in the picture you aren't following TR, as a prerequisite is to be on a LC wet diet.

The longer he spends in green the more healing time for the Beta cells, which can lead to a stronger remission. But with dry in the picture, I don't know if it would be wise to hold for a week in green.
His cycles are looking great but this is now just his 4th cycle on 0.5u, and some of those numbers in the 50's you got in earlier cycles might well have still been influenced by the depot. So it would be interesting to see if he still holds his own, today and tonight before taking him down. I am just not sure how long you should wait, purely because of the dry food (YA)

I think NPs cycles are fine. He not dipping too low or too high. I don't mind keeping him at his current dosage. However, what I have noticed is that his drinking and peeing hasn't declined to where it was after his first remission back in March.

Wow NP!!! Looking so good! :D
:bighug:

Clearly, somecat read his condo today. Up NP!:D Message received, you want to try 0.25U next.

NP!!! You really should give your mamabean a break.....us beans don't get to lay around and sleep 20 hours a day like you kitties do you know!!

Come up now....and stay there!!! Mama needs a little sleep now and then too!!

Congrats on the reduction!!!!

I agree with Wendy, it's time to reduce to .25u. Sorry about the PJ party and hope he comes up easy for you.
I've got him back up to 60. We'll see what he's like in another hour or so. I'll reduce him to .25u in the a.m. Here's a question from an overprotective mama - what if my DH gave him too much insulin last night? Would that be coming into play tonight? I'm not accusing, but he's never measured and shot NP before.

Thanks, and yes, I do need some sleep. I'll be playing catch up on that this weekend.

I wouldn't worry about a shot from last night at this point. Everything just appears as though NP is done with this dose and ready to try 0.25u.

Congratulations! He's made such great progress!

Look at that beautiful surf NP!!!

Hanging 10 with the best of them!!!
