Yes we are here today to monitor although we didn't inject yesterday am we checked bg before we left at (+11) and it was 21.9 (which would have been virtually her amps). It's tricky because of that missed dose yesterday morning because the previous cycle gave her good numbers and that APMS would have been useful to see, but you could try 1 unit just for this morning and try to get her back on track once you have the PMPS if you can monitor today. If you can't monitor then you may want to try a 0.75 unit dose. Ultimately you have to do what you feel comfortable doing.
Yes, we were thinking that. Have just given her 1u. Will keep a close eye on her and tests today. We think it is a good sign that suddenly numbers have started to move downwards? Or is it to early to think that as yet?ok - I would go with the 1 unit.
It's never too early to think that...We think it is a good sign that suddenly numbers have started to move downwards? Or is it to early to think that as yet?

Thanks Elizabeth for that info. Lila seems to be fine at present on Lilys Kitchen, she doesn't have any ongoing digestive issues. She was prone to being a bit constipated but since she has been diagnosed and on Lilys Kitchen that seems to have mainly resolved. She is surprising us with her bg though (11.4 at +6 ) which is quite a change for Lila. It's never too early to think that...
Sometimes there can be quite an improvement in the first month (or couple of months). Once the cat is receiving insulin its body can begin to recover, and thereby can use insulin more effectively.
Just a thought about Lila's diet. Does she have any digestive issues? The reason I ask is that the organic LK foods contain carageenan, which can cause problems in some cats (it can have an inflammatory effect). I've occasionally fed it to my cats and not had any problems that I'm aware of, but there have been cats here who are very sensitive to it. If she is one of those cats that's sensitive to carageenan then that might also raise her blood glucose levels. ....Sorry, a lot of 'ifs' and 'might's there. Thought I'd mention it though, just in case....
.
Ooh, yes, those sunny yellows are nice to see.She is surprising us with her bg though (11.4 at +6 ) which is quite a change for Lila.
Unregulated diabetes can affect gut motility. Now that Lila's getting insulin treatment it may be helping her digestive tract to function better. She was prone to being a bit constipated but since she has been diagnosed and on Lilys Kitchen that seems to have mainly resolved.
Great numbers today!!!! So nice to see those blues!!!!Yes, we were thinking that. Have just given her 1u. Will keep a close eye on her and tests today. We think it is a good sign that suddenly numbers have started to move downwards? Or is it to early to think that as yet?
