Oops, I missed posting last weekend! It was a bit of a full-on weekend so I didn't get much of a chance to sit and write, but Ivana's BG was 77 last week so all good
Our Miss is still going well, and has a vet appointment on Tuesday for a check-up, to have her blood pressure taken by doppler (as the regular machine wasn't picking up her BP so the vet ordered in a doppler), and also to pick up another bottle of Calcitriol. We had the Calcitriol compounded stronger this time as she hates taking it, maybe because it's oily? So now instead of having to give her 1.75mL, we only have to give her 0.45mL. Less stress all-round, hopefully!
For the last couple of weeks we haven't been adding any supplements in Ivana's food - she was on slippery elm bark, miralax, coconut oil, chamomile tea, and sometimes nutritional yeast flakes to try to hide the flavour. It got to the point that there was so much 'stuff' mixed in to her food that she was turning her nose up at eating it, so we stripped it back to get her to trust us again with the plans to re-introduce the supplements as needed. So far, she hasn't needed them, which is a surprise. Her poops have been ok, she's only had one vomit and that was a furball not an acid one, and the nighttime yowling has subsided too. I don't know what's changed, but who cares, she's clearly feeling better than she was and that's the main thing
