I am looking at buying more Vitamin B12 tablets for Sheba.
I have previously bought the Zobaline but am looking at a different one, as I have trouble getting it shipped to Australia. They ship here but it takes ages and sometimes doesn't arrive.
I am looking at Vitacost B12 500 mcg capsules and I have noticed that one of the ingredients is rice flour. Does anyone use it and know if that amount of rice flour affects the blood sugar?
Thanks

I give Hannah Vitacost Vitamin B-12, Methylcobalamin, 5000 mcg capsules. In looking at the ingredients, I don't see rice flour listed. Perhaps you are looking at a different form of Vitamin B-12? Here's the link to what we use. I open the capsule and sprinkle it on her morning meal.

Thanks @Blamethecats and Hannah
I am looking at the smaller dose of B12 now of 500mcg as Sheba does not have neoropathy any more but she does have early kidney disease and I give her a small dose of the B12 each day. Up until now I have been splitting the Zobaline tablets but as I am running out I thought I would get the smaller dose ones. Here is the link to the one I am looking at

Glad to hear that Sheba no longer has neuropathy. We're still working on that with Hannah. I checked the ingredients on the B-12 you're looking at, and I have to admit that I have no idea about a small amount of rice flour being okay for diabetic kitties. I would think that the amount contained in the capsule would be minimal and have no significant effect on blood sugar. Perhaps someone else here is better qualified to answer that for you. @Larry and Kitties, could you help with this question?

I'm sorry you are still having problems with the neuropathy. I found once Sheba's numbers came down somewhat, she went back to normal. But it took time. She has been good now for probably 18 months or longer.
Thanks for contacting Larry.

I've been giving Wiley one 500mcg Vitacost B12 each day (split between 2 meals) for about 2 weeks. Wiley is OTJ and I've only been testing his BG once a week. His values are still in the green, luckily. Hopefully someone else has more experience!
