Okay, TiTi is now perfectly normal.Back to her bossy behavior with the other cats. Making frequent sprints to the kibbles, followed by me crying out, Nononooooo Titi. Back home - HOOOOOME! and she runs in front of me, belly close to the ground, ears back, straight into the bedroom.

Soooooo, why such high blues? o_O Where is green? Whaaa? :banghead::banghead:

Now on 4th cycle of blues, BUT last nights's 100+3 after PMPS indicates that she may have hit green, after I went to sleep.

I see yesterday you started a new food....I wonder if that could be contributing to the higher numbers?

I sure hope she's not having constipation problems again

Sending some healing vines your way just in case :bighug:

Maybe she's having a low blues bounce of that 67 amps the other morning???

Hope it's not the constipation, just read back through your op thread, wondered if you had tried thd pumpkin serryn had suggested??

Sending:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:and vines

TiTi, Mama has requested some greens. After all she's done for you, I don't think that's much to ask of you. Do a little slide job into the lagoon please, but keep it safe!

Sending general purpose vines to use as needed.

Have to wait on buying pumpkin just now. I think it will be on sale after Thanksgiving.
It looks as if my vet inadvertantly left poop in TiTi, because after this morning's test, shot, and food, TiTi pooped out some dried up poop, followed by a lot of mooshy poop. My vet had said that there was a blockage in the lower colon leading to the anus, and after that it was sort of liquidy. I'm guessing that there was another area of poop lodged higher up. Without an x-ray that would be easy to miss.

I'm hoping anyway, because as of now TiTi is pretty much poopless.

I think it was, so I am mixing it with her old food - half'nhalf.

Vines very much appreciated.

Combining 10/18 and 10/19 condos, to avoid any confusion.,

Talking about low dives, TiTI dove to 49@+4 from 141AMPS. She's not usually such an extremist. Fed some HC food, testing again in 25mins.

And there's your green! No need to be o dramatic Titi
Guess now that all that poop is out she is back to feeling better and her numbers are reflecting it.
All the way back up to 75@+5 :):cat:and approaching nadir One more test at nadir to be sure she's holding her own.

Yes, no need for drama. I do not understand why TiTi chases drama:rolleyes:.

Is it 3 times under 50 for a reduction? Or is it an immediate reduction, only if 30 and under? I've been reading some inconsistent statements about these reduction requirements.

For those long term diabetic kitties (diagnosed for over a year) following TR, the general 'rule' for an earned reduction is
3 times under 50
or a single drop below 40

That said, in Titi's particular set of circumstances, (ie the now cleared up constipation/she's a high dose kitty, but we don't know why), and that when I look at her ss I can seeing a few 50's and 60's scattered about since the procedure on this 8u dose, I am thinking that she may be heading for a reduction.
I would see how she goes this morning, she seems to have come up quite easily after just a teaspoon of HC, if she doesn't drop again and stays up, I would be inclined to hold, being mindful that she may make her point sooner rather than later, so you would need to be watchful.
If however she drops again in this cycle and you have to fight to keep the numbers up then that, combined with her particular set of circumstances would tend to make me err towards taking the reduction.

I haven't followed Titi over the last few weeks, been away from the board a fair bit, so you need to make that judgement call based on what you know about Titi and how she has been of late.

Hope you find that helpful.

Helpful, but just now it seems that I over-fed TiTi, since she's returned to yellow - 204@+8.25.
It could be a bounce, but I really don't think so. I should not have fed her 1 hr after feeding her a Tbsp of HC. In fact just 2 Tsps. would have been enough.

Really hard to calibrate the needed amounts of the new HC food.

You'll know soon enough if it is bounce or just the food, but at least she came up easily.
It always takes some experimenting when we try a new food. It's how we learn to help our kitties.
