Yesterday, I didn't have to syringe and started Neko back on fluids. Mixed news.

I am feeling incredibly sad today. Two great black and white kitties, both with that difficult to manage combo of heart and kidney issues, have moved onto the land of butterflies. :rb_icon: Goodbye sweet Max and Teddy. You leave behind heartbroken beans and sad caregivers from around the world, crying at your passing. Much love and hugs to Elise and Cheryl. There will be a lot of kitties hugged today.

My black and white heart/kidney girl fights on. She's done a decent job munching on the Recovery. I probably don't want to look at the ingredients , but a girl has to eat. She even wanted outside for a bit when we came back from rowing. She had a little grass in the back yard, even though the rain is starting. Storm #3 this evening. And later today when she is snoozing I will be monitoring her respiration rate (RR).

OT: finally got out in a boat with the crew that will be racing next weekend. We started a little later today and it was so nice to see the light. Not so much the whitecaps at the end. Our seal buddy was munching a big salmon as we came back to the boathouse.

Nice to read Neko was feeling good today, a bright point in a heartbroken kind of day.
So amazing about your seal buddy..they are such fun! Hoping you stay dry and cozy thru the storm..give Neko an extra scritch for me

We are losing lots of kitties sadly! So hard to let them go! They are each so special. Our role- love them, care for them, love them, and know when to let them go. In between, they love us and give us such incredible joy! Prayers and hugs to all who need strength and consolation,:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::rb_icon:cat_wings>o:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

How sweet the seal dining on his meal upon your return. I love seeing the critters in their natural environments!
Neko good kitty for eating :cat:
Wendy it is so sad to hear of our furbabies leaving us:(! We just keep up lifting each other and spend time with our furbabies:cat::bighug:.
Every time a kitty passes my DH hands me the box of tissue!

We've lost too many of our old timers this year....it's been a really rough year all around :(

Hope Neko continues to show some interest in her foods and enjoys some more time out in the sunshine (when there is some!)

Stay safe though the next storm, Wendy!!

(((Wendy)))
Sending many many good appy vines for Neko.
I am glad she ate good this morning.
Thinking of you and Neko... always.

Yes, another heartbreaking day in L&LL. But we go on in loving remembrance of our sweet kitties who have Gone Ahead.

Wendy, I'm so glad that Neko is eating better today and had what sounds like a good day.

Your storms are news here in the East. I hope all is ok where you live. Be careful on the water. Neat story about the seal and his dinner.

I took my new boat out today. It almost did me in! I have to learn how to row! (wind and waves on the lake we chose for
"Winslow's" maiden voyage didn't help!) Next time will be better, I hope!

Sending lots of vines for Neko to keep on a stable track. Hugs and scritches.

Thanks all of you for the visits and love. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I did a little retail therapy today to help my soul (designer shoe sale ) and when I came back, Miss Neko was lying on DH's lap purring. :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful: She hasn't asked to go up there for ages. She was up there at least an hour, then I had to go and spoil things and make DH get up for a phone call. Her respiration rate was just a lovely 21. :) One day at a time, today is a good one so far.

The wind has started up again but not supposed to get really bad for another 3 hours. Might load the syringe while I've still got power. Still not sure why the storms are making the news. We've had worse winter storms.
Be careful on the water.
Safety first - the coaches will cancel if there is the slightest hint of danger, especially as the water is getitng colder. The part where the whitecaps were is a rough corner into the cove, it's always the choppiest part. We went up to race pace to get through it faster. The majority of the row was pretty flat.

Such sad times in LL. Your writings are very nice, and well said.

I am glad Neko is eating better.. It is nce too on the wanting to be outside. Love the lap time she spent with DH, Nice on those purrs. A good day for Neko indeed!

I wish you well with these storms we are having. It hasn't been too bad here, not as intense as they thought ir might be. Now we await the next one....

Have a great evening Wendy.

Good news that Neko is eating better and lots of purr time with DH. Always good for what ever ails you.

Glad you got some boat time and the seal has good taste!

Well phooey! Not sure if it's a bounce from something I missed last night, or the depot wearing off, or .... who knows. I vote, because she's a :cat:. Just hate those above renal threshold times. Bean might get sleep tonight.
