Hi! My 16 month old baby boy Buddy was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with Diabetes and Chronic Pancreatis. He is on Vetsulin twice day. He started taking 2 units. Today he had his first glucose curve and he was not receiving enough Insulin. He is now started on 2 1/2 units twice daily. Hoping that will help. He is also going to be put on an Anti Inflamitory as needed to help with his painful urination.
We have always had cats. We love our Fur Babies just like our kids. We have 3 grown children & 4 grandkids. Currently have 3 Fur Babies. Roxy is 15 years old, Rascal her baby is 12 years old & Buddy 16 months, whom

we resuced at 4 months old. He has been a sick little man since we have had him. He is soo loving & has gotten so good about his shots & meds. He is so very special to us. We are just looking for support & others who can relate. Going to be starting Glucose testing at home tomorrow.

So glad to know you are going to home test. That is one of the most important things we advocate here. Our kitties are our babies and home testing gives us the ability to keep them safe.

Buddy is a very handsome little guy, so young to have been diagnosed with diabetes but it does happen. The good news is that diabetes is treatable and manageable and we have lots of tips and tricks to help you look after Buddy in the best way possible for both of you.
