I didn't sleep last night due to my own health issues, just got to sleep this morning and Eleanor threw up. Diarrhea again too. Large furball in vomit. Gave Cerenia.
Threw up again right before shot time. Wouldn't hold still for shot, 20 minutes late.
Shot full dose, won't eat, syringing food.
I'm a wreck, scared to death, ridiculous me, I know how to handle this.
Cannot deal with little sleep. Don't know what to do any more. I wish I could help Eleanor.

you poor thing.... I know how it feels to be so sleep deprived.
Have you considered giving cerenia daily as a precaution before she "needs" it?
Maybe just for a week or so til her system settles..... I give Rico ondansetron 2x a day as a rule because if the nausea gets ahead of him it is a nightmare to catch up with it.... just my opinion:bighug::bighug::bighug: (might even give cerenia and ondansetron for a bit)

Jayla's idea of giving cerenia daily is a good one. I do the same thing with Trixie: she gets Pepcid twice a day and Cerenia once a day, every day. I found that if I tried to wean her off the meds, she'd have some good days, but would backslide and then it would take a few days to get her feeling good again, so I finally realized that staying ahead was easier on all of us than trying to catch up. She does so much better now that I'm always consistent. She's been on this routine for over 2 years now. It could be worth a try with Eleanor.

No enough sleep and your own health issues make this dance extremely stressful!

You are doing a wonderful job taking care of Elanor! I hope her tummy feels better very soon!
