Caninsulin query Lila

Hi I know I am on wrong forum but members were helpful yesterday. Lila has surprised us this am with amps of 16.1 - thinking of giving half dose of Caninsulin (ie 0.5u) in light of her tendency for big drops? This is due at 7.11am.

0.5 units looks fine with that number, anything changed recently with her? Can you get some mid cycle numbers today to see what she does with that dose?

Thanks, will give 0.5 at 7.30 and monitor closely too. The change is in bg from last evening seems to be staying in better numbers suddenly, very bright and a changed cat!

Hi Ann @Ann & Liz ,
I wonder if Lila has become so used to higher blood glucose levels (it does happen...) that even dropping into 'yellow' numbers at this point is giving her body a little bit of a scare (because she's not used to that) and it's making her blood glucose 'bounce' up into higher numbers again.
Don't worry. It's very early days. And a lot can change in a short time...
