My cat is a jerk.

Gordy has been absolutely loving eating wet food for a week and a half... so I took the plunge and order a "pallet" of the 12.5oz cans... now the jerk won't eat it and insists that his dry food is the bees-knees.

So guess who just had to spend MORE money on food. *glares* at least there's a local pet store that sells the little bags of Evo.

(Now my civvie has to finish that whole bag of Wellness herself ;))

Why do cats need to be such pains?
 
Try putting a few pieces of the dry on top of the wet, or sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on it. Did you try to warm it up? There are lots of hints to get their cats to eat their food. Don't get rid of the cat food. In a few days, he will want it, just after you buy something else. By the way, how many cans in a pallet? I have bought cases, but never a pallet.

Maybe it's a case, who knows LOL (I got a 12 pack of 12.5oz cans.)

I did warm it up, didn't change anything. He was fine eating the cold food before too. I am wondering if the can topped I got doesn't seal very well; maybe it tastes like "refrigerator" now. Ohhhh to the Parm! That may work...

I got 2 tiny cans of a different flavor while at the store, so I'll see if he is just already sick it of chicken.

I have 7 cats and it is funny watching them at meal time. They constantly change bowls like they think someone else's food taste better. They are all fed the same thing.

My four do the same thing! The food is exactly the same in all 4 dishes. But two of mine get meds in their food, so I have to ride herd on them, lol.
 
He doesn't like it 'cos you bought lots of it... :) I had a cat for 20 years that would only eat tuna...period. He'd starve himself if it was anything else. Seems every time I decided he liked a specific brand and bought 2-3 cases, he'd absolutely hate the next can I opened. I'd have to find another brand.

yep, cat's are jerks.... :)
 
I feel your pain! I just paid thirty-some-odd dollars for a bitty bag of Young Again kibble, because Bubba inhaled the sample I got. Now he sits and stares at it, then at me, like, "Really, human??" And... it's not the first time he's done it. I have a cabinet full of food that he loved until I bought a tray of it. My other kitties don't mind eating his rejects, though! We did fairly well with pouch tuna for a few days. Then had to board him, and all the vet could get him to eat was a mix of junk kibble that they keep on hand. Stubborn little mule of a cat.
 
Callie does the same. I don't know if she is hoping she will get a treat or she knows she needs to be tested. Cats are strange.
