Whew I'm beat!! And Miss China was a good girl today while mama had to be gone most of the day (I hope anyway)....I had to leave at +3.5 to get to the appointment for the car inspection and I ended up sitting there (with no way to get home) for close to 3 hours!:mad::mad::mad:

Should have taken 30 minutes tops, but they "over-booked" so my car went up on the lift and just hung there until they finally got to it

By that time it was time to go pick up DM to take her to her appointment to get her stitches out where she had some biopsies a couple of weeks ago...and I didn't make it home from that until +11.5!

I sure am glad that I have the kind of data on China that I didn't go start raving crazy with worry but I wasn't a happy mama either

Tomorrow's going to be worse I think...not only do I have to do the normal Friday stuff (DM's hair, shopping, etc) but it's the last day of the month and the last day I can get the license plates on the 2 cars renewed without paying a penalty (so I'll be at the DMV with all the other people who waited until the last minute to get it done too!....I have nobody to blame for that but myself though)....and Saturday is the Apple Festival here in town so by about 3pm tomorrow, the center of town will be blocked off for venders to start setting up which means driving a LONG way out of the way to get from DM's apartment back home.

Going to go find a bottle of liquid relaxant I think....after the day I've had, I need it!! (and I don't drink!)

Sorry for the stressful day. I'm glad you know China well enough you didn't really have to worry about her. I hope tomorrow isn't as bad as you think it will be. I hope you're feeling better.
 
Luckily China is a surf master champion! DMV...ugh, good luck with that. One thing our area has is "private" DMV offices that provide the same service but of course cost you a little more....nothing good is free.
 
Hi Chris, What a bummer of a day, but at least you got through it. When I have to leave my car for a few hours I go for a walk, or to the library. Nothing worse that sitting in a waiting room, especially if they have the TV on!

I'm surprised that your state makes you go in person to renew your registration. How inconvenient! Good luck tomorrow!

Yo Deputy China, Thanks for looking after the surfing kitties today. I got a fur shot this morning, so spent the day on the beach, with the binoculars. You did a great job!

How nice of China to be so darned good! That girl has really turned on the "woooozeeee" button for her numbers.

I, too, am ever so glad we can renew our plates on line. Even late! Pay the penalty, get a code, print a "paste this in your rear window" escape from the law paper. Yes, I'm very familiar with that process!

I made big cinnamon buns today. Will that do? instead of a beverage?

My 25-year-old car spent about 3 hours on the hoist last week. And that was the 2nd day. The day before, it was on the hoist for an hour because the owner told the guy he couldn't do what he planned to do, so I drove home and had to go back the next day. Good you have confidence in China's numbers. Let SLGS be your own personal mantra tomorrow.
 
Can you renew at AAA if a member? You will wait there too at the end of the month but I bet a lot less.

China continues to look amazing.
 
Sounds like the best part of today is its almost over. I thought I was busy.
I absoutely love Miss Chinas steady as we go......

China's spreadsheet is quite interesting, seems he's quite steady in his GL fluctuations.
What a progress also ! Just a drop within the same month is amazing ! You must
have mastered the low numbers handling :). Good *restoration progress, don't know
if he was a wreck in matter of GL but now he seems to be ready to fly on his own.

Final touches of project are always the hardest ones, that's what people are gonna see.

You're taking great care of it, take your time.

Well we're not a member and there aren't any AAA places around here (living in the middle of nowhere has it's drawbacks)

Wish we could do it online!! But first we have to have the cars pass a safety inspection, then have proof that you've pain your personal property taxes for the last two years, proof that you have insurance on the vehicles, and in our case, a special note from the doctors explaining why we have to have disabled plates.. IF you can get all that stuff together in time, we can mail it to the main office in Jefferson City and they'll (eventually) mail back the stickers we have to put onto the license plate itself

But by waiting until the last minute, I can't do that either so it'll be a day of standing in lines waiting tomorrow...at least I won't have to do it again for 2 years

Oh I don't know about that....seems like cats and planes have a lot of similarities! They're both very precious, if something breaks, it's costly, and they both do wonderful dives and then shoot up to the moon
