Dosed 0.1u this am. Her pm bg is unusually high for her recent pm trends. Noting that appetite been off (and I've been partially attributing to we've all been recuperating from a fuel oil spill in cellar on Monday after oil company did annual cleaning). Today she is drinking water from bathtub faucet, something she hasn't done for a long time (and have three pet fountains), and noticed tonight blood tinged urine outside the litter box she usually uses. My hunch is Sootie has UTI. Will call vet in am. Noting, too that previous evenings have not done pm dose for reasons/situations indicated on SS.

Immediate questions:
1. Should I dose 0.1u tonight even though she hasn't eaten much? Change dose? Hold off? Am dose was at 8am today.
2. I have uromaxx here and will double check for any ingredients that might be averse for diabetic cats. But, in meantime, is anyone familiar with uromaxx and whether or not ok for diabetic cats? Thanks, Sina

Remember too it's not rude to bump yourself up, and change that title if you need to!:bighug::bookworm:
Thanks! I'll add that to my memory banks.
At this point in the hour, it's so close to an hour past the 12-hours since am shot, and that she has eaten so little of supper (and a few freeze dried salmon pieces), that I may forego pm shot and encourage her to eat more. But if any suggestions, will take those into consideration.

Here are the uromaxx ingredients:
Cranberry Juice Extract 75 mg
Glucosamine 65 mg
Vitamin-C as Ascorbate Acid 35 mg
Herbal Extract & Amino Acid Support
Proprietary Blend: Cornsilk Powder, Dandelion, Whole Plant Powder, Nettle Leaf, L-Methionine, Uva Ursi

Have used uromaxx in the past with civvies and with good results. Always mindful re the Uva Ursi which is better as short term used Some of the ingredients (cranberry, maybe corn silk powder) may bump up Sootie's bg a bit.
thanks again,:)

Can you stay up tonight and test if you shoot? I'm concerned that you think she has a UTI. Ketones can develop if a cat isn't eating, has an infection and doesn't get enough insulin.

Aww, Thanks much, Gussie's mom. Another nuance you've helped me to learn! ;):)Window passed, I opted not to shoot. Just retested (at her pm +1.5 or ca 9:30pm) = 99. So she's adjusted down on own, whether food, water, or other, don't know. After retest, she ate a bit more of her supper but small amount that I put in new dish with addition bit of weruva salmon to mask .5ml uromaxx. I opted to start that now and will keep eye on her during night. I think she will be ok. Can't retest more tonight bc realized have one remaining lancet, which will be for amps.
thanks carfurbaby for suggestion about baby food...yes always have some on hand and recently tons of it for Bo. Baby beef would have been my next try/addition. Thanks again all. :)
