I know when I had to board smoky for two weeks one time and I came back my roommates kitties forgot who smoky was. I think cats forget other cats fairly quickly and remember people for a long time. I'm confident her levels will come back down once she settles into the new place.

He just stays in his kitty bed all the time now or under the coffee table in my bedroom.
Try to see if he is more normal just before and just after his injection and whether he gets more quiet and withdrawn in the middle of the cycle. Vetsulin can make some cats feel really yucky.
Wide swings in BG can also be behind the lethargy. Keep an eye on it and be sure to give your vet feedback on general clinical signs as well as BG info.
That is not uncommon; many cats tend to be higher at AMPS, while some tend to be higher at PMPS.
My cat Teasel's sister is prone to face/head lesions and eosinophilic plaques on the back of her rear legs. She was worse when she was younger (she's 6 now). She eats only prescription hypoallergenic canned food and that has helped enormously. Her episodes are self limiting over the course of several days to a week plus. I used to be told by the vet to give antihistamine (cetirizine) to her during an outbreak but it didn't make much difference. Now I treat her (rare) outbreaks with "benign neglect" and it seems to work.Aaaaand we're getting settled again!!
