I like the dose increase. I'd consider 1.25 on a lower 200 and stick with 1.5 for a pink. It's a modified sliding scale, just based on those range pre shots, but a place to start?
 
She seems to take a couple cycles before she really settles into a new dose. Today's midcycle numbers weren't bad. Hope she continues to go lower with each pre shot.
 
Phoebe is doing well today. So well she rewarded me with a field mouse she took out at 4a.m. this morning! I awoke to her making some noises too find her laying in almost a pose next too her mouse! Hahaha!
 
Sorry you having to go back up in dose, Eric, but that's not at all unusual. As long as she's feeling good and eating well, that's what matters!

Thanks Sharon. Do you think I made the right decision upping her? She's happy and playful but looking at her numbers I felt she needed a boost. I just don't understand how too get her dialed in at good daily amount of insulin.
 
I'm sure the increase will be fine. You haven't gotten any PM mid cycle numbers on the SS the last couple days, but I think you took some, so you may need to update that. Lots of times insulin doses go up and down for awhile as the cats pancreas begins to kick in, it's totally normal.

The trick, Eric, is that one dose may work for awhile and then need to be increased or decreased. It is not a static process. So you do just as you are, react every few cycles to the numbers you are seeing by adjusting.

Not sure if I got a high number because Phoebe was super excited when I got up this morning ie. wet food feeding tine? Or because it took me 4 times to get her reading because she wouldn't sit still for me?
 
She always seems to come down quite a bit @+3. I know you keep the Young Again out all the time, but when are you feeding the wet food?

I feed her and Bobo wet food after AMPS and PMPS. They both get 1 can per day. 1/2 in the morning 1/2 late afternoon. Do you think l should do things differently?​
 
I wonder if Phoebe is plateauing again, Eric. Maybe time to raise the dose to 2 units on a cycle you can monitor. The blues are lovely but she has room to drop.

Thanks Sue. That was kind of my plan. I just wanted too give her a few days before l jumped up too 2u.
