It's been another great day for Miss China!!
Had a pretty good exercise session today, but she tired out a little earlier than usual....but I had her going for awhile!!

Never Forget
On this day, 15 years ago, 2,977 innocent people lost their lives. People from all walks of life, from all religions, from all races, of all ages. 2,977 innocent people, who had no idea that their lives were about to end in a horrific, gruesome, unimaginable, and senseless way. 415 of those were First Responders, men and women who had trained all their lives to save others.
I remember watching everything unfold on TV that day. I was in the hospital as I watched the first tower come down, followed by the 2nd and then part of the Pentagon collapsed... as reports came in of a plane literally disintegrating as it crashed into an empty field in Pennsylvania.
I remember the worry I felt because my mom had left for St. Louis the night before to catch a plane to DC that morning to testify before Congress. Of course the phone lines were jammed and it was late afternoon before I found out that they'd grounded all the planes 15 minutes before hers was scheduled to take off.
I remember hearing First Responders from around the world volunteering to help assist in search and recovery efforts. Hundreds of men and women running to aid their surviving brothers and sisters, to continue the work that the fallen weren't able to complete.
Thank you, to the First Responders. The ones who gave their lives to save countless thousands that day, not just in New York, but in Pennsylvania and Virginia. The ones who survived. The hundreds of everyday Joe's and Jane's, who helped in countless ways, be it using their boats and alternative methods of transportation to get New Yorkers to safety, or grabbing people off the streets as/after the towers fell to give them shelter and medical aid. The passengers of United Flight 93.
I remember. I wish I didn't.
