No extractions. Lots of gingivitis.Maybe he does have some infection lingering. I can't remember if he had any extractions.
That's what I was thinking; that it can't hurt to ask. Hopefully he will give it to us without $300 of blood work first.I think it usually takes an AB to clear up gingivitis. He may need another course of AB. It can't hurt to ask the vet.
The antibiotic was Aventiclav. What antibiotic was he on again? My vet usually starts Clindamycin 3 days before the dental (if they are anticipating extractions) and keeps them on ABs 10 days post-dental (=2 weeks.... if you count the day of the dental). I think Clavamox might be different though....
But, as Carla said, this is still a normal number and it might just be what is normal for him.
I hope he's just being a cat. Is he acting fine otherwise?Edited to add that it's very unusual for Boomer to have appy problems
I offered him a forkful of his leftover brunch and he ate it then ate the rest up. I left the fork sitting in the dish; he thinks I'm feeding him with itI hope he's just being a cat. Is he acting fine otherwise?
maybe he was hoping I would come over and feed him
