Sounds good to me lol
I was brought up with tripe, pigs feet, and offal, all manner of things most people would 'barf' at hahaha

Hmm low reading just now 50! I've given her one teaspoonful of her food in gravy and will test again in 30 minutes. Sorry folks didn't want to wait for a reply at that level .. Nervous now.

This is the +3 reading?

If so you have given some gravy which is good. Do you have any syrup of any sort...if you do add about 1/8 teaspoon to some food. Then retest in 20 minutes.

You want to keep the numbers up at or over 68 US ...3.8 mmol on your meter because you are using a pet meter. You have about 3 hours until nadir. Can you be available to test every 20-30 minutes for that time?

Tested 15 mins later @ 4.1 gave more chicken - oh I will be :) no chance of me not!

Should I give more gravy with honey?

That is good. Give a little more gravy and retest in about 30 minutes. You are still in safe enough numbers so don't panic. You just want to keep Tempest at 3.8 or higher. Some kitties tolerate lower numbers with no problems, but that is a "safety" number with a pet meter.

Ok gave her another teaspoonful of gravy, I never feed that so she likes it.

Tempest is responding very well with the Prozinc so you may want to change your no shoot level up to 250 and perhaps use a "sliding scale" dosing...which means you shoot different amounts depending on where the preshot level is. We can get into more details on that a bit later.

That sounds really complicated! :arghh:

She's been in fab form this evening! she came and played fetch with me earlier. (I throw her mouse and she brings it back) I didn't throw it too far and made sure she didn't overdo it.

It would be a good plan if you could "update" your title with the latest readings..just in case the thunderstorm they are warning about hits here you will get more "eyes" on your posting so you will have support if you need it.

Start a new thread? Or can I literally change the title of this one?

Kitties usually will feel more "normal" when they get into better numbers. It is always so nice to see the "old" kitty returning.

Doing a sliding scale is not as difficult as it sounds. I am going to tag @Sue and Oliver (GA) to come by and offer some information on how it works and whether this may be a better approach for Tempest.

Don't forget to test and post the next results. :bighug:

Might be best to start a new thread. This one is long and has lotsa fun fluff that someone would have to go through to get to the important stuff.

you can go into the title and on you post on the right hand side at the top you will see "Thread tools" If you click on that it will give you the option to edit the title..Hope I explained it so it makes sense

I will start the new thread then as Sharon says it might be easier for people to follow :)
will do that when I retest in 15 minutes. what would be an appropriate title?

"Prozinc numbers dropping quick need some eyes on this"

That should be a good start

ETA put a link to this thread in the new thread

Copy the URL..the link at the top of this page in the browser window and paste it into your new thread. If you can't do it I will add it when you do your new post.

Yep I'm hopeless at computer stuff sorry.. I will try though :)

She went from 4.1 to 3.8 but I guess that could just be the meter reading there's not much in it.
