Hi Everyone,
I am new to this! My family cat, Lily, was diagnosed on Sunday. She is 11 1/2 years. We initially took her in because she was throwing up her kibble all over the house. Her bg level was at 300 on Sunday and also traces of glucose in her urine.
We have purchased ProZinc and have a follow up appointment tomorrow with the Vet to go over her new dosage (she was originally prescribed Lantus and we decided on ProZinc), how to inject, Curve testing, etc. ** She has NOT received any Insulin yet.
Also to note, she has been on kibble her whole life. We have switched her to wet food since Sunday. Initially we tried the prescription Royal Canin but she didn't like it and after reading past posts I decided to try Friskies pate; which she loves.
** Since we are new to this, are there any questions or information we should go prepared with to our follow up appointment tomorrow?
Thank you!
