Ivana had her vet visit this morning to check on how the Calcitriol is working for her two weeks after starting. Good news, it's working GREAT!! Her calcium levels did not rise, which was the risk we were checking for. The great news is that her phosphorous level has dropped quite substantially - yeah!!!! So no need for a phosphorous binder at this stage, which the vet has been trying to source for us (she'll need it eventually) but is apparently tricky to get here. Her urea/BUN and creatinine also dropped slightly from last visit, so the Calcitriol is obviously agreeing with her. Actual lab results are in the Labs tab of Ivana's spreadsheet. Two very happy fur-parents here
The nighttime yowling issue is going well, there is the odd yowl here and there but nothing like it used to be with both frequency and desperation lower now that she's on the chamomile and coconut oil.
All in all a really good report for Miss Ivana, who is currently celebrating her good results by snoozing on the lounge in Daddy's chair.
And of course the obligatory photo... we've had a bit of a cold snap in the last week, hence the need for heaters. This was HRH a few days ago, trying to will the heater to turn itself on
