ordering from canada

Hi everyone, I may need to be ordering some levemir pens from the Canada pharmacy. I have a vial of Levemir I started using in may or june. I don't know how fresh it will stay. When it runs out I want to order from Canada, but when I was on their website I saw this statement " The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the positions that virtually all shipments of prescriptions drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law" Does this mean it is against the law to order? I can't afford it in this country.
 
They are required to say that, but I've talked to the pharmacy manager many times and they've never had it actually happen

There are LOTS of us that have ordered from Marks without ever having any problems...I've ordered 3 times without any problems

If you care for it properly, that vial of Levemir may last you up to 6 months too....the numbers will tell you when it's losing it's efficacy

One important thing about ordering from Marks...do it when it can safely be shipped, not when it's supposed to be freezing or terribly hot....it's better to order in Spring and Fall so the temps aren't crazy low or high

Ok, thanks. The thing is levemir pens in cananda are 169 plus 25 shipping. Here I can get the vial for 289 or so. We really can't afford either one but if we have to buy one I guess we will buy from the US. We can't take the chance the drug will get held up in customs or getting in trouble. If it got held up in customs we wouldn't know what to do. We couldn't afford to buy it twice. So we will just have to do with out some things to afford it here. I guess we could go to the church for some food if it came to that. But we will just trust God to work it out. God bless.
 
Marks has never had any problem with customs

The big problem with buying a vial is that unless your cat ends up on a high dose, the longest most vials will last is 6 months....even on 2 units twice a day, that's only 720ml out of 1000 that's in a vial, so you end up throwing the rest away and starting over.

With the pens, each one only holds 300 units and they're good until the expiration date on the box so you are usually going to be able to use every last drop of the total 1500 units in 5 pens

True I should get the pens
 
Call around and find a pharmacy that will sell a single pen. More expensive in the long run, but cheaper at the moment. If Perkins isn't on a large dose the 300units will last awhile.

Elana I bought Levemir from Marks no problem getting it in the US, in fact it shipped out faster than I thought.:)
