? Pea protein and dried egg protein any good?

I changed my cat's food to Merrick LImited ingredients chicken. I noticed some cans say dried egg protein and the more recent cans now say pea protein. Are both of these protein sources OK for a diabetic cat?

Egg protein is good. I see no problem with pea protein.

I have heard that pea protein is not good for diabetic cats because of the carbs, but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Personally, I stay away from it.

what is pea protein? I could ask them how much pea protein is in each can. I pea protein a powder mixed in?

Pea protein is the protein part of a pea. I would expect that it is a powder.
I doubt they would tell you how much is added since their formula is proprietary.
The list of ingredients lists the ingredients in decreasing order. what is listed before that ingredient?
