Yesterday's condo

Looks like the bounce is breaking! Unfortunately, not the most convenient timing. I just sat Walter down and had a conversation with him about taking things a bit more slowly today while his bean is out. I am about to head out to the shelter and fill in on another volunteer shift. I'll be back by +4. Now let's just hope that he listened! And that it's not just the little furry sharks that are eating all the extra food.

Yes they truly do. I think they know when we're planning to head out the door and do it deliberately to get us to stay home.

Well, I guess he listened - in his own special way. He was just looking at me like he was saying: "See, mom, I'm surfing and I haven't dropped below 50. Isn't that what you asked me to do?" I was envisioning something closer to, say, 80 - but I guess this works.

...and the volunteer shift was hot and miserable. It's 90 degrees and humid and the AC isn't working in the dog section. I still walked 20,000 steps and played with the dogs outside. But all I want to do now is take a nap in my lovely cool house. Luckily, that's all my dogs and cats want to do too.
