After keeping me up most of the night last night, China decided to take a break today and spend some time on the beach ....the fact that mama gave a furshot has nothing to do with it, I assure you

It worked out good though....had to take DM to get her hair done and at the last minute decided to try to get her into see the doctor to have her ears cleaned out and actually got in!! She's also got a bunch of sores on her arms that she's been picking at which makes her look like she's got creeping crud (or jungle rot) and the doctor said it's sun damage. She is prescribing some cream that I have to put on 3 times a week to "burn off" those layers of skin (makes me a little worried since her skin is so fragile and thin anyway) but if it'll stop her from picking, we're going to try it. The areas are too big to "freeze off" with liquid nitrogen so the only choice is to use chemicals to burn it off.

OK Kitties......China's had a day of rest and relaxation, but I'm betting she heads back into the lagoon tonight (especially if her mama can get all the insulin in!)

Sorry about the fur shot, but at least you were able to go out without worrying. I'm sure China will be back in the lagoon in no time. I hope the cream helps your mom's arms. Sending prayers.

Well, if you have to give a furshot, that was a good time to do it. I'm sure China will be back giving surfing lessons in no time. Harvey looked for her in the lagoon today, but when he didn't find her he went back up on the beach. He seemed pretty bummed. I'll tell him to look again tonight.

that thin skin issue doesn't get better....
do you know about woundseal ?
while my dgm lived here, she fell daily and ripped off her thin skin.... this stuff helped her stop bleeding and sealed the open
wound....
and made a scab so her skin could grow back....
you might need this some day.....

I'll check into it, but right now, we have to get her to stop picking at her skin....those patches of "sun damage" itch and she doesn't even think and scratches....then she's bleeding all over everything and it's got some of the people at the nutrition site upset (I bought them a large box of Band-aids)

If we can get the patches cleared up, hopefully she'll stop picking and her arms won't look like she's got some strange jungle disease.

I'll tell him to look again tonight.

i had a weird episode of my shins itching like crazy, and would scratch in my sleep....
skin dr gave me betamethasone......
it worked.... he didn't know why i was itching so much but it healed whatever it was and stopped the cycle....
might be worth a try....
