Yes, you've seen well, Small Kitty in the blue at an AMPS time :):):)

Start to think I should bring the vet clinic in court for inducing me bad shooting
technique (life time free service and supply ;)).

Been 2 cycle since I use the bottom of the tent technique and we see results.
Guidance form ''experts'' were to keep the skin flat, clear the bush, and insert
the needle straight in the withe spot.

Next order of duty will be to see how low Small Kitty goes, I'm not familiar
with haft shot so I gave full dose this morning... He might show some green
during the day so I let extra food in the feeder (little, 1 table spoon more then
usual). He now have a full can in the tank and will get 4 table spoons laters
in the cycle. That is more then needed but better then hypo.

So good day all, over time this morning so got to go, thanks for all the replies yesterday,
you're a mine of gold !

See you later.

Sébastien

Great news Sebastian. Hopefully with the improved shooting technique SK's numbers will improve greatly. With a low start to the day if you could get a quick test before you leave that could be useful. Also you might want to leave some MC food in the feeder, maybe for the +4 feeding.

ETA When the first vet tech showed me how to shoot it was not correct either. I learned more by watching the videos on here.

Yeah!!!!! I am so glad to see a blue AMPS. My vet tech instructions on shooting insulin were horrible also. At least now things are improving. This is all such wonderful news and makes my day to see his number! Have a great day, Sebastien.

Since some green / blue showed up I've noticed a MAJOR improvement in urine level, it's now more ''normal''.
Used to have huge amount more then once a day, now is egg size. The poor little cat body had to work like
a tank just to evacuate the poison.

Just hope is not a new sort of bounce going to the green instead of red or black...

You should feel the fur of this cat, it's softer then anything you might have touched,
your fur coat is probably sand paper compare to it.

Curve to come, will answer many questions.

Are all FF MC ? All the food I've been giving for the last 20 days are 2% max

What would be good ''ermergency food'' there :

From what I can figure the FF pates in Canada are mainly LC. The Friskies pates in Canada all seem to have rice added and according to what I can calculate I would put them more in the 11-13% range which would be MC. For high carb foods the FF or Friskies with gravy work out around 18% which is what I use for HC foods. If I need anything higher I would use some syrup. I really haven't checked out the President's choice foods for LC since I make my own food, which is around 3%.

Seems I'll need quite a reserve with different kind of food. I already have many cans of different brands/flavors they didn't
like. Will need to bring them to the poor families baskets food at the grocery.

I remember chatting with someone here that was exclusively feeding her cat with this and her SS was all green.
Not necessarily a sign of good food but it's very low in carb. Problem is phosphor, it's kind of high but it's the same
as FF and other cat food. I was told not to be too concern with this aspect, don't remember why.

SK's kidney values and phosphorous levels from his blood work do not show any signs of kidney problems and his SDMA test is in a normal range. At this point I wouldn't be too concerned about monitoring the phosphorous levels in the food.

Isn't it amazing what a species appropriate diet does for them? Before China's diagnosis (when I was still feeding dry thinking I was doing a good thing) I thought my cats were soft and healthy.....although kind of fat (except China who'd lost a lot of weight)

Switching everyone over to low carb canned caused the ones that were too fat to lose weight and everybody's coats became softer than I could ever imagine them being! Such a big difference!!

Looking good today SK......Keep it up!! (or "keep it down" is probably better!...lol)

Just back from the grocery to fill up the cat food reserve. With 40 cans of LC and some
MC and HC food it should be fine for the 2 weeks or so.

No need for MC or HC food tonight, Small Kitty must have come very low during the
day witch would explained the high numbers. Would have been nice to stay in the
green but seems it's not to be the case for now.

Just hope we're not back to permanent red with correct shooting technique..

Glad you are well stocked up. :)

After that amazing blue start to the day it is not surprising that SK is doing the "bounce dance". Hopefully SK will get through this bounce quickly and get back to the business of giving good numbers. :bighug:

Definitely make plans for a good curve on the weekend!

Looks there skipped shots totally confused Small Kitty's system, he doesn't know where
to go now. Not sure he's following what's below (Thanks to Julie for this information) :
