Yesterday I gave Neko her budesonide even later than usual, but it looks like there was no change on her cycle. Or maybe it's just Neko bouncing today. The effects of the steroid on Neko continue to defy predictability. :mad: And so far it doesn't look like going to 75% of the original dose is making any difference on her numbers. Sigh.

Neko delayed her purr and chat morning routine until after breakfast. I was a little worried that I hadn't heard it at our normal test time. That's one habit I'd like to keep going. :)

She was a little slow on chowing down breakfast today. Lamb is one of the harder meats for her to eat so she slows her eating even more and takes a few more servings to get to CPC. I'm trying to figure out what are the fast eating foods for her, and I'm afraid the answer is canned food. I've got a regatta coming up in a couple of weekends where I'll be flying out the door after shot time so have figure out how to get enough food in her to leave. It's close by so DH or I can come back and give subsequent meals and meds between races.
Thinking of Peg and her DH today as Toby moves onto his next great adventure.:rb_icon:

Neko, Mama loves that purr and chat at test time. Don't hold out on her like that!

I'm glad Neko is eating well, if slowly. I hope you get the fuds figured out for your upcoming hectic weekend.
 
Miss Neko, gotta keep those purrs and chat times going please. The slow eating will work your nerves but hopefully something will be good for her to gobble down. It takes Doodles 15 mins to eat a 1/2 oz out of the 1.5oz he gets of food and that includes him stopping wanting it stirred about 6 times :banghead:. Over all even with the annoying higher starts here and there she's still coming down and looking good considering. Have a good day Wendy.
 
Purr and chat, love it! Keep up the good work, Neko! When I feed the "girls" I tell them that the choir is singing, they have such soft mews when they are waiting for their food, so cute. Best to you, Kathe
 
The only thing I usually get at food time is loud, demanding meows and kittens that are ready to climb up my legs if I don't hurry up. :rolleyes: Your routine sounds so much more peaceful...

Great cycle yesterday + fingers crossed for a repeat performance in the near future.
 
Good girl Neko, come on back to the lagoon! :bighug::bighug: Purrs and chatting- good start to the day. Hope you find something for her to eat before your regatta. Tiger always loved her pates. Buster loves pate too, but his favorite one, Merrick LID Chicken, I just discovered, now has peas added and he doesn't like it anymore.:banghead: Neko doesn't get Merrick anymore does she? Apparently Merrick was bought by Purina, thus the cost cutting changes I presume......:(

I wish that Rusty would eat enthusiastically--or even eat OK without enthusiasm. But we do what we can.
Good luck with the meds, with the regatta schedule, with fuds that Neko likes to eat, etc. etc.

I didn't know this, Ruth. Thanks for the info. Rusty isn't liking Merrick's limited ingredient fuds very much these days, whereas he used to like them a lot. Of course I'm still working on 2 cases. I wonder when the change took place? I must look to see if peas are in the list of ingredients. I've had these cases since last fall.

Isn't it funny how when they like a routine they are so happy?
I started t/f/sat 4/4 and Dre loves that time slot and eats so much better... I am moving it slowly for the sitter and he is not happy...
I wish he would purr like Neko!:bighug:

Wellness Turkey went down CPC at preshot meal, and fairly quickly for her, with minimal grinding noises. She had a nice walk with me outside this afternoon. And when I came back inside this evening just before PS, she let me know it was time to get things rolling!

It's harder to find Merrick LI foods here, and I'm not sure what the phosphorus count is on them. And you've just given me another reason to avoide them. :rolleyes:
