He threw up bile at 6a.m. one day...next day (yesterday) 6:30. I've got no responses. I'm scared and concerned about this. Why is this happening?

Katie, don't be concerned now.
Does he do that often? Or did he do that sometimes when he wasn't diagnosed yet?

Have you already replied to @Marje and Gracie her private message in your inbox to help you set up the SS?

Katie,

I can only offer a suggestion about the bile issue. Smokey did that for a very long time and multiple times a day, daily between 5-6:30am. It turned out that if he went longer than 4 hrs of not eating he threw up. So he gets a small snack at 4am (auto feeder). Maybe giving a small snack 3 hours before morning shot time might help.

No he didn't. And no As yet. I'm dealing with more than the cat. Other sick family members including myself. I'll get it today tho.

An occasional vomit with bile is likely not too much to worry about. By occasional, I mean once every few months unless he's long haired. Bile can be associated with hairballs. But we are now finding that hairballs are not normal if they occur more than once every few months with a short haired cat or a little more frequently with a long haired cat.

If he continues this, he needs to see a vet for labs. I know you are on a tight budget but I'm just throwing that out there so you understand that vomiting bile more than just occasionally is a reason for a vet visit.

Winnie had a similar problem for a few days, only her time of choice was 4am (around 8 hours after her shot, which looks like the same time after Kirby's shot that he has been getting sick). We started feeding her smaller, more frequent meals, including one before bed, around midnight. She hasn't done it since, knock on wood! I hope Kirby feels better soon.

He's never had a hairball. Only the bile thing 2 times. Hoping not to happen again. Thanks
