6.28 Murphy am 252 +4 88 - +5 86 reduction on day 2 of Lev

Hi Day 1 on Lev yesterday was blue in the am, with a nadir at +4, and then pink at pm +4
today his +4 is 88 -
He eats some dry so I am doing the go slow protocol
Does this mean he gets a reduction to 1 unit tonight?
 
He sure does get that .25 reduction :D Then you'll want to hold that new dose for 7 days. There may be a bit of up and down on dose but so far he's looking great.

BTW - you hold the dose for 7 days unless he goes under 90 again. Keep posting...we'll help you and great work Murphy. Last night looked like a bounce but he cleared it this morning already.
 
His +9 was 262 - weird - Lev is acting like Prozinc with a nadir at 4 hours and wearing off before 12 hours - I realize he is still building his depot but is this usual?

Yes, it's usual. You really won't be able to get a good handle on dosing until he builds a solid depot.

Let's keep an eye on the dose over the next week in case this is just one of those times the cat shows a marked response to the new insulin within the first day or two (a common occurrence with Lantus or Levemir).
