Not a good start for Walt. :( Very early this morning, he hacked up another huge hairball... that's two in about a month. What do other people do for hairball prevention? The only hairball remedy I have is super high in carbs.

Since I had this illusion that he would drop fast now that the hairball is gone, I didn't give him a doscrease this morning... stupid decision on my part. There will for sure be a dosecrease tonight. I just can't believe that I would have to take him all the way back to 2 U after his pet-sitter reduction.

Other than that, everyone is doing fine. Flora is eating well, but is still not in the mood to play. Fern and Iris, on the other hand, are bouncing off the walls. And the pups are all snoozing since they got a long walk before it got too hot.

Walter...the dosecrease threat is out there! I know you avoided it this morning by hacking up that hairball; nice delay on your part but mama bean is on to you now!

Oh Walter, sorry about another hair ball. Is he shedding a lot now with the warmer temps? Some say egg yolk can help with hair balls. Moo is my hair baller but she's also a long haired cat that over grooms:rolleyes: Hope he heads back down soon! Extra vines and prayers for Flora.

Yes, he's shedding quite a bit... and even though he is a short haired cat, he has really thick hair. I've been trying to brush him every other day, but he must still spent a lot of time grooming himself. Maybe that's his reaction to living with all of these young kits: he wants to look extra good.

And he did get his dosecrease tonight - so let's hope that he will head back down soon.

I hope Walt works that extra bit of juice. When @Bobbie And Bubba went out of town and decreased Bubba's dose for the petsitter, it took a while to get him back to the pre-trip dose. Maybe dig out those patience pants...

@jayla-n-Drevon, do you have any natural remedies for hairballs that aren't OTC high-carb formulas?

Yes it did, it took about 4 weeks sadly to say but I might have gone over board with the reduction. I took him down 1 .5 units , way too much.

Have you tried just plain old vaseline?
1 of mine used to really like it and it did make them slide right thru--
I have not looked for one without sugar --I will check with my distributer--
