Morning all,

I didn't post his morning as I had to go back to bed, staid awake until 2 at the morning to know
what was the very very lowest GL for Small Kitty. Nadir appeared at +6 for a GL of 178, not bad.

What is bad is bad is what happened from pmps +8, my last test and amps.

In the next 3h GL raised by almost 200, in 3H !!!

From this pmps 446 he's not recovering, now +7 and he's a 409.

No matter the control protocol or feed strategy there is no way such a spike can be flatten.

How can someone can control such a spike ?????

So here is what happened : pmps-340 +4 277 +5 212 +6 178 +8 252 Then this morning 446.

If you adjust for the day to bring the GL down, you get an hypo at night, if you adjust for the
night.

Anyhow, an increase is to happen this week-end, TR says that if nadir is above 180 to increase
by .25.

(Nadir was above 180, Animal cyclometer GL results must be increase by 18 mg/dl to
match human meter).

It's beautiful sun outside and feel guilty not have waked up earlier, breakfasting and going out
now. Attention to Small kitty will resume in 5h :)

That sounds like a bounce--he's not used to being in lower numbers and his body is reacting by spiking BG, as far as I know the only thing to do about bounces is wait through them, eventually his body gets used to normal numbers again and he doesn't bounce as much. The only other strategy I know of for bounces is to try to slow fast drops with timed snacks--and I think you're already doing a great job of that. Sorry he's bouncing, but that's normal for many cats as they get used to being in normal numbers again.

Just a flash, what I said above is semi false, THERE might be a way to control the mess,
by what level is what I'll help on.

When I woke up he +5 food portion was left untouched, had to bring Small Kitty to
the feeder.

SO, increasing the food while action is going on (at night) MIGHT be the solution
Yesterday I had to give him raw fresh chicken because he was so mad (at +5-6)

SOT THERE IS THE SOLUTION !! FULL FEED AT NIGHT !!!!!!

To be investigated !

Se ya going out taking some sun with camera gear and stuff, nit to think about something
else.

Madrona, you've read my mind while I was putting it on paper. See what I posted

Thanks !!!

Good Afternoon Sebastien ~ what a nice cycle for SK last night and sorry about the dreaded bounce! Bouncing is maddening to say the least. Try and enjoy some on the beautiful day today. When do you plan to increase?

Enjoying the day I did ! I'm still pretty good at shooting, got nice pictures + took some
air on a small island at 30min bike ride time from here. There is some migrating birds there,
it's kind a nice.

Dose increase has been made now, thanks to our TR page I found a pdf file I was able
too print with the lines indicating doses mesurements so you're more precise.

2.75 flush, no food change for now, want to see what .25 does first. If no change
appears at amps in the next few days, mc food will be introduced in the feeder, quantity might change also, not sure.

Glad you had a nice day out. Sorry about the bounce, it's part of the "dance". They will eventually get better (not lasting as long). I use it as a break from testing, be able to get out for awhile and getting good night sleep.

Hey Bobby, you'll be proud of me, tested Ketone: 0.5

Tested because there was an enormous load of urine, renal threshold reached. :nailbiting:

I don't get it, 2.5 has been in progress for 7 days. At least I found the very low point
Small Kitty can go to get an increase that is not ''emotional''. Science application at it's best.

Going out for the evening now, well deserve little gift and it's still sunny outside :woot:

Just back from a ride down town, checked Small Kitty to see where it was at..

At +5 he's as low as he was yesterday (207), a level he doesn't ventures into. So I gave him
haft a can of FF Paté (classic) MC food. Not sure if the damage is not to late to stop
the bounce but tomorrow will tell it all.

Think it would have been better to rise GL with food BEFORE it went that low, like at +4.

Sorry Small Kitty, I'm not God :bookworm:

+6 211
The haft can of FF mc given at +5 doesn't seem to have change GL, not increasing it.
Still, it's higher then yesterday where he was at 178 at the same exact time.

I'd start keeping notes on your spreadsheet in the "Remarks" column as to what you feed...especially while you're doing these experiments

Never know when all the sudden "something" is going to pop up and the light bulb is going to go off over your head and you're going to say "AH HAA!! I got it!"
