No I havent fed her (neither shot). But usually she dot wanna eat in the morning. And it doesent seems to be hungry right now. I still have half an hour till shot so I can test her again later. But she is low all night long.
 
Do you have plenty of strips, HC food, syrup or honey? Can you be home to test?

She's actually on the rise from last night. And she wasn't low....she had a great cycle!!! You could even be seeing a double dip right now if she went up at the end of the cycle. You've handled low numbers before.

It's best for her if you shoot a full dose, feed, and get a +1. However, I am not able to stay up with you. I can be here the next hour or so but that's it.

She's really making headway. Think you are up to shooting and handling any lower numbers on your own if need be? I don't know if any of the folks in Europe will be around to help.
 
Did she eat last night when she was dropping?

There's not much difference in the 124 you shot last night and the 94 today.
 
No...she's flat :) It's possible she will continue down if you stall.

The decision has to be yours. She is at a very shootable number but you are the one there and need to be able to be there to test and feed her.

I can't tell you what to do especially since I can't stay up with you. But I can tell you that most cats can and should be shot on time with the full dose if they are above 50 and the CG has all the supplies and can monitor. You have to decide if you can get her to eat because she needs to eat.

I will see if any of the other ladies will be up or around.
 
What if I try to give her food now and see if she wanna eat. And shot if she will eat for me. How much carbs should i give her?
 
Yes, you can try to feed her and if she eats, shoot.

She's just surfing....if she were mine, I'd stick with LC for now.

Pls let me know...as I said, I'm up for another hour and also checking with some of the other ladies.

If it would make you feel better, yes, you can get a +0.5. But I would not wait any longer than +1 if you decide against the +0.5. I'll keep checking back in.
 
If you give her carbs at this point it would be a small amount of syrup (less than a teaspoon) of corn syrup, pancake syrup, honey or liquid glucose. If she has a treat that she likes pouring the syrup on the treat may encourage her to eat. Follow up with testing and feeding. Good job shooting the low number Sara. It will become easier as you have more experience doing it. I hope Tacka gives you a very flat cycle today. When Neko was off her food and gave me a green preshot, I gave her higher %carb low carb food as well, and it kept her safe, even though she didn't eat as much as usual.

Please do not give her her syrup of any kind at this point. She doesn't need it right now and it will just mask the numbers that you do need to see when she onsets.
 
Tehnically (because LCs are really hight LCs but they are still LCs) I gave her 1,5oz LC (9,5%) and a LC (9%) threat and a half after the poke. Thats it.

I hope Tačka will be good girl today. Later in the afternoon I must go out for at least an hour because I am short with lancets (only have 25 left)

Acctually she is with me only 4 years. She was neighbours and when we (me and my BF) rented this apartement she came in. She was in really poor condition and neighbor is a jerk (he have cats but he dont take proper care for them). Acctually once he ask (demand) me to return all of his cats (they dissapear because they are outside all the time) and I said that I have only Tačka. But he said back that Tačka is old and he dont need her anymore?!? I wouldnt give her to him of course. But such a jerk! GRrrrrrr

She's so lucky to have you. She would have died from the diabetes without you.

I'm glad she's up a bit. Remember she still has to onset so she could come back down. You've given her MC food and it might wear off. I wouldn't assume it's a bounce starting :)

She would have died long ago because of teeth infection, than because of tumor on lips.

Thank you Marje! You are great supporter! If you wouldnt be here i dont know what i would do. I will hug her in your name, but a little bit later. She is outside all the time and i must go out everytime I shot, poke, feed, check etc her :D
 
Good job shooting. I think we are all tired most of the time, lol. I'm trying not to test as much and just got a before bed test of 50 at 12:00 a.m. Max was sleeping on my bed and I almost didn't test. When will you test again?
 
Congratulations Sara for earning your first BOS!!!! Good job shooting this morning. She had such a nice cycle yesterday and you have kept the momentum going! I am so proud of you. It's mixed emotions when these low pre-shots happen: we are happy their numbers are coming down and then petrified to shoot, but you did it! You will get more relaxed at shooting low. :)
 
Good job shooting. I hope Tacka keeps surfing for you. Once she is past nadir you will probably get a chance to go out and get some lancets as long as she doesn't go lower.
