I posted Perkins labs on the SS I don't know if people can see them but if you can any thoughts on them would be much appreciated

I'm wondering if he could have a kidney infection and/or a kidney stone? His potassium is really low. He's got elevated WBCs, blood and WBCs in his urine, protein in his urine. I'd be asking the vets about potential urinary tract infections/stones higher up than the bladder.

That's what the vet thought too but they did a urine culture and they said there was no growth but I do find the strange because of the protein in the urine. I hope they are telling me the truth.

I think I'm going to get those UTI test strips from walmart to be sure.

The high white blood count indicates and infection. Since on r 'rae" WBC were found in the urine it is not that likely due to a urinary tract infection.
The potassium is low but not due to kidney insufficiency since the BUN and creatitine are normal

I mention kidney not bladder infection because quite often you will not see any bacterial growth in a culture and sensitivity for urine even if there is a kidney issue. My kitty with CKD had two kidney infections and neither time did any bacterial growth occur with a c&s.

And sorry....I was sleepy last night when I looked at the labs and Larry is correct that the WBCs and RBCs in urine was normal. How odd they didn't do a urine specific gravity....that's usually a really standard test.

Sorry my bad, they did, I just didn't see it on the sheet so I didn't enter it. It was 1.025

A USG of 1.025 does show some kidney degradation
