I am so mad right now! She dont wanna eat again. And she is on 181. After I forced her to eat about 30-40g i gave her insulin but she walked away in that moment i stab needle in her. Now I dont know if she got her dose or not. I smelled her back and i cant smell insuline. I guess she got her dose than. I gave her shot 1/2 an hour late because of all that. I wanna go B2B but i dont know what to expect today.
And BTW she dont wanna eat food but if i offer her a treat she will eat it.

What do you do when your kitties dont wanna eat? Give insuline or not?

I've just gone through a couple of weeks of Neko not feeling well and not wanting to eat. I always gave insulin. Even when kitties go for an operation and cannot eat, vets will suggest a half dose before anesthesia. They need at least some insulin and some people give reduced doses if their kitty is not eating. My experience with Neko the last couple of weeks is that she didn't really go low with less food so I gave the full dose. I did have to offer quite a few different options, and there were times when I had to assist feed her with a syringe to get the calories in her.

Do you think Tacka is not feeling well? Or is she just being a picky cat?

That I did earlier.

She dont wanna eat breakfast lately(when i give her insuline). Last few days she is not so hungry even through the day but she eats. I dont know if she dont feel well. It cant be something big i think because she is behaving normal.

All that frustrates me because after a really long time she have a lot better numbers and i dont wanna break this. I hope it was not a fur shot! I will test her in 30 min.
Maybe this is related to better numbers? I dont know....:(

If you didn't smell any insulin chances are you got the shot in, it's pretty stinky. Don't worry about it if it is, she'll recover. I gave a virtual fur shot on new years eve, I delayed going to my friends house for dinner because I needed t give George his shot, I tested and fed him, and completely forgot to give him his shot!!:oops: I didn't 'remember' until the next morning when I found the syringe still on the counter full!! I was so frustrated and cross with myself, but he got back on track, so no harm done. These things happen:bighug::bighug::bighug:


When George was on insulin and he started to see stretches of blue he was less hungry (for George this was relative of course) and even became a bit picky. He would typically be more hungry if he bounced high or if he dropped below 60ish, coming to find me if he had a BG spike or if he took a dive. A fast drop also seemed to trigger his hunger reflex. Not all cats do this, but that was just my experience.

She was little devil earlier. First didnt wanna eat and than in the same moment i stab her she went away like nothing is happening. Usually she is such a good girl when i poke her. But no-not today. As not-eating isnt bad enough.

I dont know why she is not eatting well. In this case i am glad she is slightly fatter :) I will see later if she will became hungry. I will not give her anything till +6 (if numbers will be good of course) and than i hope her appy will wake up.

As long as she got something this morning (which you said she did), I wouldn't worry too much unless she is still refusing to eat at dinner time. Harvey has faked my DH out a few times, looking like he was eating in the morning and then walking away from the still full food dish as soon as Mark left the room. On those occasions, he often didn't eat until at least +4, and although he went low a couple of times, he survived.

Is she acting like she wants to eat, but then turning away from the food, or is she not even interested in checking it out?
 
It seems like she is just not interested in food right now. But she is interested in treats :banghead:
She went up +2 216 (I hope it was not fur shot) and I am so sleepy right now so I think I will go to sleep for at least an hour.
 
I think it was not fur shot. +5 153 She still dont wanna eat. I gave her about 50g with hand but thats it. I dont know what is wrong today. I dont wanna be drama queen and take her to the vet in a second. I think I will wait till tomorrow to see if she get her appy back or not. Now its super hot here. She was outside but i take her in. Its much better inside.
 
She went out few minutes ago. She ate few small bites i gave her, but still no good appy.
She looks good. I forget p's :( She was purring before she fell asleep. She was grooming herself (i forgot the word and i cant find it) She never plays so that s off. About litter habits: I dont know much as she do everything outside. I just know she is not going too often. I dont think she feels uncomfortable generally as you can see in picture i took. Its maybe just something with her stomach. I dont think it hurt her-i tried to press on it and its ok. Maybe mild sickness?
