Yesterday's condo with the box of kittens

Meet Fern (black and white), Flora (black) and Iris (Siamese)! Iris and Flora are tiny (10 and 13 ounces) and Fern is most likely from a different litter (she weighs 1 pound and 13 ounces). They are all anemic from fleas, Fern and Flora have an eye infection and Fern also has an ear infection. They are all severely malnourished - but, thankfully, they already have tiny little teeth and are more than happy to eat on their own.

Last night, I bathed all three of them in Dawn (since they are too little for flea meds). And after their bath and multiple small meals, they all slept soundly at my friend Kristen's house. She is taking them to work with her today so that her vet can look at them.

All of this was the perfect distraction from freaking out about my upcoming trip to Germany (I am leaving tomorrow). But now that the kits are safely at my friend's house, I am back to worrying about my crew. Walter's numbers are still running higher than I would like - but I went ahead and started his vacation reducie. I just hope that he manages to at least hit some blues on this dose.

Sending vines to all in need and thinking of @Lydia & Rosie & Basil(GA) in particular.

They're so cute. I'm glad your friend can take care of them while you're gone. I'm sure Walter will do fine while you're away. I know it's hard not to worry, but he's in good hands.

What cuties!! As for Walter, I always felt it was better to have Gabby running a little higher if I wasn't around than to worry myself sick that her numbers were too low.

Sending good vines to you crew while you are gone. It is always exhausting trying to pull everything together before you leave and then you took on more with the adorable kitties. You are a wonderful bean Christine to take on more! I just love the Siamese one and love that you named her Iris. ( I want her.....my husband would leave me)

Have a wonderful trip!

Christina,

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable trip to visit the folks. You really have a heart of gold caring for those tots in the midst of your travel plans...sending a thank you out to your friend too! Other than missing mama, Walter will be ok as you have covered all bases...awesome bean you are Christina!

Dawn

Have a great trip Christina! Walter will be good, and the cuties are in safe hands so you can relax. But we expect more kitten pictures when you get back.:) Gotta get our baby cat fix.

I second Wendy - we will definitely want more pics, to see how they've grown and thrived, when you get home. The black and white one looks like it could have Siamese in it - the head is triangular.

I'm sure Walter will be fine. You go and enjoy your visit. I envy you - I love Germany! Safe travels!
