Oliver sliding scale?

Looking at Oliver's gentle curves do you think I can start shooting him when he's below 200? He doesn't seem to have drastic fast drops like Tuck.

He was 182 tonight. I'm holding for 20 minutes and will retest. He seems to be doing well at 1.2 U and I think (hope) he is on a long gradual declining dosage. He did fine at 1.4 for a while then it seemed like he bounced so I lowered him to 1.2.

I'm wondering if I can shoot him with 1 unit when he's between 175 and 200. Over 200 stick with 1.2. Thoughts?
 
I don't know. i think he is gradually lowering in levels. Today 1.2 for a 396 took him to 104. I think 1.2 might be too much for a number under 300.

I'd be more cautious. Maybe 0.5 175 -200. One unit 200 - 350 or so. On cycles you can monitor. You can always increase it by a smidge if it proves not to be enough.
 
Well I just came back from giving him 1.2 on a 219. I will test him at +4 and might set an alarm for +6 just in case. He does seem to be on a gradual reduction.

Your scale looks reasonable. I was shooting him when you replied so I'd shot him before seeing this.
 
Hope he has some good numbers tonight Kristen, he's been looking good! I so wish you could figure out the mystery of Tuck!
 
Yes, I am very pleased with Oliver's progress! I'm content that he's basically in blues and yellows most of the time. The nice gentle curves are a blessing.

Tuck, Tuck, Tuck. Seems like no matter what dose I put him on he ends up red or black by shot time.:banghead: His sister, who he is bonded to, goes to her new home on Sunday. I'm curious to see if this affects his numbers next week.

And, um, is today Cooter's official 2 week mark for no shots, @Sarah Smith ???

How rough that may be for him :( But its such a blessing she is going to a new home! There is an awesome support group on facebook I can recommend for her new family if they need any help. It was a life saver for me in the beginning, and its not just for any certain cancer or type of pet. Let me know and I can get you the info to pass along to them, there are many folks there that have been down the road with mammary cancer and are willing to give support and advice.

Today is 2 weeks of no shots for Cooter! I was looking towards Friday because that is 2 weeks since his numbers came down to the normal range :) :cat:
 
Thanks @Sarah Smith, please send me the link. She lost a cat this summer to mammary cancer so she is not going into this blind. I foster failed an unspayed 16 year old last Summer. I had a mammary lump removed on her too. Due to her age I chose not to have a biopsy because it wouldn't change how I treat her. So far so good.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Cooters.
