Hey Kathleen, that was quite a wonky number you got at +7 and good thing you retested it. Chances are that Titi will be coming up again by your AMPS. If you need help at shot time, post again. Hope you can get some sleep.
 
Do you have a backup meter? Sometimes if I retest with the same meter I get a wonky test.

I didn't sleep much, but thanks. Anyway back to sort of normal, for TiTI at this point anyway by AMPS. If this was a bounce it really bouned like mad.
 
Whether it was 78 or 165, it does tell us that she is having some lower numbers and immediately bouncing from them. That's important for you to know. She isn't completely over 300.

It's also worth noting that it was in the middle of the night - as so many cats do, maybe TiTi is having her lowest numbers in the pm cycle. I'm so glad you've been able to get these late night tests.

How is she otherwise - drinking, peeing, appetite, etc.?

She seems much the same, though more relaxed somehow, if that makes sense.
Not quite so desperate about the water or food.

I figured she was bouncing, when the higher numbers returned.. The 2 numbers one right after eachother looked like the end of the downward bounce, and then an immediate return bounce upward. It was very interesting, a little scary.

What does this mean, "She isn't completely over 300"

Tonight I plan on a long sleep, so midnight will need to be the 4th reading.

I couldn't sleept night anyway. For some reason ,my arm started aching like mad. Gapapentin does not do much for that. Advil didn't help either, so I read a book, a very boring book, and finally got a couple hours sleep. Tonight my arm feels much better!

I tested the meter. It's fine. Maybe I contaminated the testing strp? But I sipect it was the bottom-most level of a very big bounce.
