Happy June everybody!! Where has this year gone??

YES...it's an early condo for me and China!! It's pain clinic day so of course Miss China has to throw an 84 for AMPS this morning!!! I can't miss this appointment since they have to special order the medication that goes into my pain pump so I'm going to hold off as long as possible before leaving.

I decided to go ahead and give her some 7% (I think it makes me feel better than actually does a lot for her) and hopefully she'll be a good girl while I'm gone. Right before I leave I'll give her another big feeding and then hope she surfs safely while I'm gone. At least with pain clinic days, I don't have to leave until about +6 so that makes me feel a little better since I know her pattern pretty well at this point. Of course she's been known to fool me in the past!

The A/C repair guy made it out this morning instead of this afternoon and the A/C is once again cranking out tons of cold air!!! The capacitor was bad so although the fan was working, the A/C was never actually "kicking in". It was also a pound low on freon. The man was very nice and the whole bill was only $236.10 which includes their "maintenance plan" ($180) where they will come out twice a year to check the furnace and AC plus $56.10 for parts/freon. Being on the plan also means 10% off parts. the first 3 hours of labor at no charge, priority service and free "after hours emergency" service...can't beat that!

OK all you LL Aunties....I need you to keep an eye on China for me this afternoon!!! LagoonMeister Rusty @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) and Deputy Harvey @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey .....you guys try to keep her away from the sharks....you know how she can be when she gets something into her head!

I's right behind you, China! Come a little closer and we can tandem surf like we did yesterday! - Harvey

I've been telling Mark for years we need to get someone out at least once a year to go over our HVAC system, and he always pooh-poohs the idea.

Glad that it was the capacitor! I had that happen to me before so that's why I suggested it yesterday! China, please be good today! The bean has to get some pain stuff and she was kind enough to get the AC fixed so you could stay cool!

Hope that he eventually listens to you Tricia! I have mine serviced yearly and it really keeps the cost down.

I have A/C guy coming out today too this afternoon. My unit is 13 years old and there is a leak somewhere as it is not keeping up. Fearing I won't be as lucky as you are with the bill :nailbiting:. Safe travels to and from pain clinic Chris...hoping for a nice cycle from China while you are away :cat:.

Good luck Dawn!

Nice work, China, getting your dip in early, then coming up so Mama isn't chewing her nails all the way to the pain clinic! Harvey is glad you listened to him! So am I! :D

Well played China. Make the bean nervous 'til the last moment then show her she has nothing to worry about. Well played, indeed!

Excellent on the A/C. I'm glad I have one of those swamp cooler thingies on my roof. Ugly as can be, but I can replace most of the parts myself. After fifteen years, that's two pumps, one belt, and a couple of water lines to the house.

Hope all went well with your travel and your appointment. We'll keep our eye on Miss China although I suspect she saved her worry moment for when the bean was home.

A/C man said equipment working fine but there is a leak and finding it will be a difficult task...involves another trip out and using dyes and waiting...so he said what most people do is keep adding refrigerant until the equipment fails. $442 for inspection and recharge...said it could last another 5 years. Watch my equipment poop out tomorrow....ha!

I have a "slow leak" too Dawn.....the guy that came out today said he could do the major searching for the leak like yours is suggesting, but what he said he'd do if it were his was use a sealant (kind of like "Fix-a-flat" for tires)...he said he'd just put it in, let the unit run for about 10 minutes so it would get throughout the system and he is pretty sure that will fix it instead of trying to find a tiny little leak like he says I have.

We'll keep our eye on Miss China although I suspect she saved her worry moment for when the bean was home.

You called it!!

China honey....mama's awfully tired....you think you could paddle a little closer to shore soon?

Yo Deputy China, You did good today, but your mamabean was a bit worried. She ought to know by now that you are a Lagoon Deputy and you know what you're doing! Nice job.
