Yesterday's condo

Perfect surf in the 60s yesterday! I only needed LC food to steer him, the rest was all Walter's work. Even though lower numbers are still followed by a "bounce," his bounces are much flatter and shorter than earlier this year. If only I wasn't leaving for Germany in five days... :nailbiting:

I am about to meet some friends for breakfast and then we will see how warm it is and how much of a walk the pups can handle. Yesterday, Lenny spent the majority of the walk rolling in the shade, refusing to move.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US!

If you need to reduce to an add number (like 0.75) for Walter's dose, will your petsitter be able to measure it okay?

She's coming over today or tomorrow and we will go over some stuff. I think she should be okay with a dose that's in between the lines, especially if I get some magnifying glasses. I am hoping for a dose that will keep Walter above 100 or so. I would much rather have him run a bit higher than Linda having to skip shots.

How long will you be in Germany!
I am leaving this Saturday and coming back 11 days later. It's by far the longest I have ever left Walter. I go to Germany about once a year to see my parents and Linda has taken care of my animals for years... but I have only Walter since last September, so this will be a first for her. She took care of him earlier this year when I was at a conference (April 7-8) and despite reducing the dose, Walter took a big dive and Linda ended up skipping a shot. So she is really nervous about the entire thing.

Enjoy your visit with your parents!! I don't have any specific dosing advice but I would definitely reduce since someone else is taking care of Walter and for that long.

That was a lovely cycle for Walter yesterday. I have a real soft spot for Walter because I watched him when he was in Mandarin's shadow and I knew he had it in him, but felt he needed to wait in the wings. Like the younger daughter in an oltime Italian family waiting for her sister to get married so she could get her chance. :D He's my hero.

Try not to be too worried about the trip. Coming from me, BTW, that is hilarious.

Breakfast was delicious. Crepes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream!

We ended up just walking through the neighborhood - it was just plain too hot for a longer walk. As we were getting close to my house, we were followed by a Beagle who then refused to come into my yard (because it is never that easy). Thirty minutes and several miles later, I finally caught up with the little guy and managed to catch him. Unneutered, of course, but at least he was wearing tags and I was able to reunite him with his owner (who doesn't "believe" in neutering :banghead:).

A little bounce but have a feeling Walter will be back to business sometime today.
Meanwhile, Walter is already heading back down - Karen, you called it!

...yeah, I'm trying - just not very successfully so far. And, I have to say: I couldn't be any more proud of Walt! He's found his own style of doing this sugar dance and it seems to really be working for him.
