Possibly contaminated all three Prozinc vials

Just read small kitty's threads and I am wondering if I have ruined all three vials of Prozinc ?
I was pushing air and extra insulin back into the vial.
Can anyone speak to this issue?
Looking at Fritz SS it appears the insulin is still working. If its bad from the silicone in the syringes would I just see it not working? Or can it cause real highs and quick drops ? Wondering if I should buy new vials? Just two days ago I started into a new vial.

Lantus is much more affected with injecting air back into the vial because of its composition and the fact that it forms a precipitate under the skin when injected. I do not believe that Prozinc is as sensitive to this but will wait and see if others have more information
 
You're supposed to inject air into a vial before you draw. That's proper technique for drawing up any kind of insulin. Not the pens though, just the vials. Can't speak for putting extra insulin back in but if it's still working and you haven't randomly lost control of the BG numbers, you're good.
 
Interesting, I've never done it that way in the two years that I've been using it. Guess I should have watched the videos. I'm not sure that it really makes a difference but it is good information. (And I tried not to laugh at the comments that you should never change your insulin dose on your own--and also be horrified that the cat is getting 4 U)
