help! Diabetic cat with allergies

Hello!

I am trying to get his blood sugar under control and I'm somewhat successful but now my cat is itching and making himself bleed.
What is safe to give him to help the itching?

No I don't. Before he was itching above his eyes near his ears and it would bleed. Now he's itching behind his back. It's on and off for him.

Did you change your kitty's diet or food variety prior to his starting to itch? If yes, check the ingredient list(s) in the food you're giving to see if there are any common allergens in them.

I changed his food recently from DM wet to fancy feast or Sheba but he was itching even on DM. I'm not even sure if it's the food. I was hoping I could give him an antihistamine or something.

If it's not one thing, it's another with this cat!

If you are looking at antihistamine treatment get your vet to check his blood pressure first (they can raise BP).
