Yesterday

Those preshots are creeping up again. :( Harvey only ate a few bites of his t/f/s meal, but it turns out it was a good thing. When I came down and started fixing his breakfast, I glanced at the can I had left out for DH to feed at t/f/s, then I did a double take! "ROASTED"! :eek: WTH??? I bought four cans of FF chicken at Petsmart yesterday and thought I was getting all "classic" - reasonably so, as they all came out of the same box in the "classic" section. Turns out I got two "roasted" and two "classic" - some nimrod put them in the wrong box! :mad: :facepalm: The color is only a shade off. Lesson learned - from now on I check the label on every single can that I put in my cart. :stop: I removed the remains of the t/f/s meal and gave him some Friskies, which he ate pretty happily. No hoover this morning, but a good enough appy that we're skipping the tummy meds. He's teetering on the brink of the lagoon, but with that little bit of 12% this morning, I don't expect him to fall in. :banghead:

I watched him go slowly up the stairs a little while ago and decided I'm going to try giving him a little Bupe every morning and see if that helps him move easier. The Duralactin did nothing for him, and the Cosequin doesn't seem to help (of course, if I stopped it I might find out it is working). Maybe this will make a difference.

Once again, I got sucked into the L&L land vacuum this morning and spent a couple of hours reading condos when I should have been working out. :oops::rolleyes: Better get a move on. I did another 1 mile walk yesterday and my heel hurt pretty bad afterwards, although it's a little better today. I sent my podiatrist an e-mail the other day and asked what I could do besides icing and he responded by having his assistant call and schedule an appointment. I go see him tomorrow. Hopefully he'll have some solutions that will let me get going with this workout plan and not be miserable afterwards.

It's a good thing Harvey didn't eat all of his t/f/s food. I've learned the hard way to check every label too. I'm glad he ate better afterwards. I hope the bupe helps. Hopefully the podiatrist can help you. Sending prayers.
 
yep... gotta read every stinkin' label.....unless it's shrink wrapped and sealed....
wish i was closer.... i could use a walking partner....

I've done the same thing with the labels...those colors are super close together! Hey, always good to have a few MC cans around;) If you squint that 101 is lagoon territory and not bad considering the mix up! Hope the Bupe helps him move along.
 
Way to go, Harvey!!! Got the bean to cough up a little of the "good stuff"!!!

Don't feel bad....I think we've all grabbed one of those Roasted ones thinking it was the same thing...FF really needs to make their labels a little more different.

Hope the podiatrist has some ideas to help with your foot! It's bad enough having to exercise, but to be in pain at the same time is awful!

Yo Harvey....if you gots real sharp claws, you can slice da labels off da good stuff and puts on one of da classics labels....fools dem every time...especially in da mornings when der eyes ain't all da way opens!
 
*raising her hand* me, too. labels, that is. Now I keep the mc in a separate cupboard.

I don't have a problem with FF because Rusty only eats the T&G. And it seems like every other cat does, also, since the T&G is always mostly gone. So I just go to the place on the shelf that looks empty and fish around in the back to find the cans!

Tricia, ask your podiatrist about ultrasound. That completely cured my plantar faciitis after just one session.

Thanks for the visits, everyone. Harvey did make it to the lagoon, late in the afternoon. And I got another lovely preshot number tonight. He's plowing through his dinner and seconds (about to get thirds). No tummy meds today!! :)

I think the Bupe did help. He came down the stairs right before t/f/s much faster than he has been. I'll have to go by Davis tomorrow and get a refill.

Harvey doesn't like any turkey foods, unfortunately. I have a bunch of them, too, as they were part of our normal rotation.

I think we all need to send e-mails to Purina and tell them to change that label! It's ridiculous to have them look so alike.
