Well, once again, the best laid plans of mice and men have a screw thrown into them by a cat!! :cat:

China, I believe I specifically asked for you to mind your manners.....diving 30 points in 2 hours is NOT what I consider being a "good kitty"

When she dropped to 56, I finally gave up and called to reschedule the mammo/ultrasound...yes, I could have probably gotten away with feeding her something high carb and leaving more down, but I know you guys understand that I just wasn't comfortable leaving for at least 4 hours

So if you're out in your garage, laying on the floor with the door going up and down on your boobs in solidarity, STOP!!!

We'll try again in a couple weeks (next week is pain clinic so had to put it off until the following week)
 
Silly China. You were supposed to surf safely for your mombean. It sounds like you weren't supposed to go today. Sending prayers everything will be okay when you finally go.
 
China, I know your Mama sent you a subliminal message because she really didn't want to go to this appointment. Next time, ignore her! This is IMPORTANT and she needs to take care of it, so please don't do that again! :mad:
 
Amen, Tricia. Chris, even though the odds are definitely in your favor, please reschedule as soon as is possible. Take it from a breast cancer survivor, it's definitely not something to put off because even though there are no guarantees with breast or any cancer, early detection does greatly improve the survival odds, and the earlier the better.

ETA: It's important enough to reduce China's depot and/or no shot to get it done.

Well if she'd left me a note telling me she was planning on taking a nose dive this morning, I would have given her a BCS ....but not shoot a 96?? :eek: Not after working this hard to get her this well controlled!!! ;)

I really had pretty much psyched myself into just getting it done and getting it over with....with China surfing so safely lately, this morning really was a surprise! If it was something I could get done in less than a couple hours, I would have probably gone ahead, but with the hospital over an hour away and the they told me to plan on 90 minutes there, I just would have worried myself into a panic the whole time

We try again on June 8th

I don't blame you a bit. We just need to get China into the mindset that when Mama tells her she has to go out, Little Miss Diving Champion has to postpone her practice!

That's good! Now you have time to take some preventative measures, like reducing that depot a few days before, etc. Take her with you if you have to! Not saying that China is not the most important thing to you because I know that she is and has come so very far and is almost to the OTJ point, but if Chris does not take care of Chris she cannot take care of China, etc.

ETA. Chris, I apologize for the nagging but like you, I had no family history of any kind of cancer period and I almost blew my call back off because of that and because I could not feel anything in the breast. I am grateful that I went back because I would probably not be here now if I had not. I don't want anyone that I know to have to go through the crap that I did. I just took my last pill on Monday so now am completely finished with treatment after 5 years and 7 months. It's not fun, believe me.
 
I'll jump on the "get 'er done" bandwagon too! But I understand your concern with China. I'm always ready to get a cheap hotel room, bundle up the girl and take her with me when I have those 200 mile round trip doctor appointments. 'Course I almost enjoy the excuse to get away for a night and leave all the others in the care of pet sitters!

Now, China. The bean has an important appointment. Cooperate.

I don't mind....I actually appreciate that everyone cares enough to be jumping on my back about it....It would be all too easy for me to blow it off and figure it's nothing, especially with everything else I have going on in my life (like taking care of my 86 year old mother with Alzheimers)

I just wish they'd schedule them for later in the day! They only do the "follow up" tests from 9-11:30am....all their earlier and afternoon appointments are for screening mammograms. I'd be a lot happier if it was at like +8 or +9....then I wouldn't have to worry so much about what Miss China Britches is up to!!

Oh I do too!! There's something special about walking into a clean hotel room and knowing that you can just kind of do whatever and walk out and not worry about it later....If it was further away, I might do that, but it's only about 60 miles one way and I find it hard to justify the cost....especially when my income is only about $700/month....even a "cheap" hotel is going to be about $60 around there...and the "cheap" hotels in that area have fleas that might carry China away!!

China does really well on the road too....some of her first dose reductions came the week DM had open heart surgery and we spent the week in a hotel across from the hospital
