I tried so hard to get blood from Henry's ear, but I couldn't so I did it on his foot. I didn't want to, but I wanted that damn blood!!! So his sugar was 13.8 - which is high, I know but I was pleased as it was over 20 (maybe 24) yesterday at the vet (and I know his levels could have been up because he was at the vet). He had wet food last night and loved it :) he had his low carb dry food for breakfast so I don't make him sick.
Feeling positive today even though he was in hospital all day yesterday (he's much better as he has had so much fluid).

Great to hear he's feeling better after the fluids...It's amazing what they can do for our kitties!!

We'd love a picture of Henry if you have one!

I do have a million photos of Henry.. hehe. I have to get on my laptop to upload it. My phone is completely stupid. o_O I shall do it really soon though.

Kittys have an amazing ability to hide illness. Usually we notice something is off when they drink way more water and pee way more urine.
I didn't even notice that actually. I noticed he was losing weight (but he had been on a weight loss program, so it wasn't surprising really) and then he had really bad diarrhoea, so that is why I took him to the vet - I expected him to have some food intolerance or just a tummy bug... not diabetes. :( But I am so glad I got it diagnosed. Poor baby.
