Good morning L & L :coffee::coffee::coffee: Status Quo here. He is running in great numbers and I am still surprised that he hasn't earned another reduction after his last dip into the 40's on 5.14 (I did not reduced then) These numbers are wonderful but make me nervous about leaving for any more than 1-2 hours at a pop and forget sleep, what sleep? :blackeye:

Also, it appears that he has changed his nadir to around +8 as his pre-shot numbers are no longer his lowest numbers in the cycle. I believe Wendy said that when late nadir cats start running in the greens they nadir earlier.

Liking all that green Bubba!

About the nadir, wasn't he nadiring (wow I'm not sure I should have conjugated that LOL) earlier when he was giving you all those greens before you took the Vaca dose?

Yep, he was nadiring earlier when in all greens. And he's doing it again. I don't know what to do. After giving him some LC food with the 56 @ +4.25 35 minutes ago, he is still at 56. I am thinking I should just let him go below and take the reduction. Hanging this low this early is making me a little nervous.

Well, he better be nadiring earlier today! :D:eek: It's not so much nadiring earlier when running in the greens, but late nadir cats nadiring earlier when they are going low.

Woo hoo! Congrats on the reducie! I knew it was coming but he was taking his sweet time about dropping below 50, wasn't he?! Now you're down to 1.5, right? What a long way he's come in the past few months. :)

Shane, it is wonderful how far he's come. He's taking his old sweet time coming up to. He's at 57 an hour and 1/2 after he dropped. I have only been giving LC. I just now gave him 1/4 can instead of 1/8 because he has been double dipping lately and I want to be able to shoot and not skip. But, if I have to skip, I will.

Congrats on the reduction. Did you still have a question? Just wondering cause the question mark is still in the title prefix.

Since +6 when Bubba dropped to 46, he has not come up any higher than 58. I have given him a total of 1 1/4 cans of LC Fancy Feast over the 3 3/4 hours to keep him at that number. Assuming he stays around this number or goes lower, should I still shoot the reduced dose?

Make that call when you get to shot time, Bobbie. There's no right or wrong answer. If he's steady, but low at shot time it becomes one of those times where you have to weigh where you're at. In other words, if you shoot are you ready to stay up tonight to monitor as long as necessary? If not, you may want to stall, shoot a one time BCS dose, or skip.

You're an experienced caregiver who is very "in tune" with her cat. There's no doubt you'll make the right decision for you and Bubba.

Just my thoughts...

Hi Jill! Thanks so much for your input. Getting ready to test him in 15 minutes. Hope I can shoot and keep up the momentum that has taken more than a month to regain. And that said, I will do what keeps him safe. Don't want to lose the big old lug at this point! Hope your world is good. :bighug:

Congrats on the reducie! ...and you are a braver person that I am, Bobbie. I just couldn't bring myself to give Walt his Insulin tonight.

Now, Bubba, you got your reduction, you might as well surf safely and let your bean get some sleep.

It's easier for me to shoot lower numbers as he usually doesn't nadir until +12. Today was different at +6. And that said I will be up twice to check on him and make sue he eats.
