Need good mojo - dental on Friday

Maximus is scheduled for a dental on Friday - he's had two previous dentals before the diabetes dx, and has always healed pretty well. I'm just a little more anxious than usual! :nailbiting: His numbers have been a bit unpredictable since the dental issue has come up, and I'm really hoping they stabilize once he recovers...
 
It's only natural to be anxious... We all understand what you're going through....

Sending lots of positive vibes for a safe and successful dental. I was in your shoes a couple of weeks ago so I very much empathize with your anxiety, Tanya. :nailbiting: :bighug:

Maximus came home last night with fewer teeth and seemed pretty ok!

The only thing is the vet saw something strange in his gums on the xray so took a sample of it - the tissue didn't look normal. She asked me if I wanted to send it away for histology in case it is sarcoma. I said of course.. I would rather know than not know. Should have results next week.

The nice thing is that they did not charge for the extractions.

Other than that, Maximus is a bit subdued. He even let me pill him this morning. But he is eating and seems to want to go sit on the porch with me but it is raining...poor guy.
 
So glad to hear Maximus did well and is taking his meds and eating. Pain medication makes them a little dopey so it will take a few days for Maximus to get completely back to himself. We'll all be keeping our fingers and paws crossed that the histology comes back negative!
