Thanks Amy. Greatly appreciated. She has the podiatrist today. Tomorrow the cardiologist. She isn't doing well. My sister is baby sitting so I am taking her and she made the appointment for Max's +6. Thankfully he wasn't too low this morning so we are back to his normal time. To get her there on time I would need to leave here at +5 which I likely can't do. We will be late. My sister knows better but refuses to believe I need to be home until +6.:banghead:
 
More vines and prayers for your Mom. Sorry you're sister doesn't understand but hoping it will work out. I battle with family too. Surf safely Max!
 
Thanks Karen and Marilyn. Today's appointment I made at tge right time. Tomorrow is the very tough day. In addition to having to try and get my DM to her appointment as close to the time as possible I know I'm going to get the gloomy speech again as I can see for myself how we are slowly losing her.

Sorry about your mom Elise....I truly understand where you're coming from.

You could always just skip Max's shot in the morning....that way you wouldn't have to worry about him going too low. I'm sure he'd bounce right back

Yea, but we may not have help again this weekend so I'm sort of reserving that one. I think her other grandma will come and watch the baby for a few hours and my sister will take my mom there. I will meet them as early as possible. That way both of us can speak with the doc which is probably a good thing.

We were given a number of a CG that wants to work weekends. I called but her phone said she's not accepting calls. It scares me to get soneone this fast. We have the doc tomorrow and would have to meet her after and she would start the next day. I called the current weekend CG and she was noncommittal. Tge replacement still has a bad knee. :banghead:
 
Elise - you've got a lot on your plate. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Have you thought about a temporary shave of the dose so that Max behaves while you are gone? I give Neko temporary reductions a lot so I can do what I need to.

Yep. I shaved a little this morning and will again tonight. What I took off today wasn't much and might not not even have registered. I'll need to do a bit less tonight.

He's surfin and I'm off to get my mom now.
 
My sister actually has the bigger burden. It's just that she doesn't think Max needs all the attention I have to give him. I just don't like the way she talks about it to others. Just venting a little. It's all so scary. Thanks Suki
 
Shaved the dose tonight. We still haven't figured out how we will work the doctor's appointment tomorrow. He basically was flat green all say so hopefully he will have a nice night and not need so many tests.

Sorry you're not getting any support from your sister, Elise. My brother is the same way. Luckily, I don't have to deal with him about it much. The rest of my family thinks I'm a little nuts but they don't give me grief about it. You have lots of support here, though. I hope that helps a little.

I hope you find a caregiver you're comfortable with soon.

Thanks everyone for the support. It means so much!

Good news on the CG situation at least for this weekend. The regular weekend one us going to come with her two kids and her husband will pick them up Saturday afternoon. He's off Sunday. Please pray that it works out. That way we can meet tge new applicant next week and go from there.
