You should post this in the main heath forum, it will probably get overlooked here since this is for tech support type questions. Post it here:
http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/forums/feline-health-the-main-forum.28/

You can also post in the section specific for whatever insulin you are using. Without any info on your cat it will be very hard for you to get any advice unfortunately, I assume you are hometesting since you know his numbers are high. Can you try to set up a spreadsheet so people can see how your cats numbers are tracking, it will make getting advice much easier:

If you need any help getting it set up just ask and someone can help you along.

Welcome to FDMB.
As noted, you'll get more responses by posting in the Welcome area, Feline Health, or under the specific insulin you are using.
That said, to give you feedback, we need to know more.
What insulin are you using, what dose, and how often?
What food are you feeding, how much, and how often?
What numbers are you seeing using what kind of meter or lab tests, taken at what times with regard to the shot(s)?

He is on Lantus 2x a day. 2,5 units. His # are 424. Before food and insulin. For pate. Special kitty. When ever heard is hungry. Thanks, new to page, trying to figure it out!

How is he doing today? Have you gotten any mid cycle numbers?
Hi @Ozzie58 ,
Seconding what Sharon asked.
We need to know how low your kitty's blood glucose is dropping during the cycle. 'Pre-shot' numbers alone are not enough.
Sometimes a high pre-shot number is seen because the blood glucose has dropped too low during the insulin cycle, and has subsequently 'bounced' up high in response to that (it's a protection mechanism). If this is the case it might be necessary to reduce the insulin dose.
Preshot numbers alone are not a reliable indicator of whether a dose needs to be raised...
