Time to Increase Dose

Been trying to keep Cassis below 3u, but after at a week on 2.5, he seems stuck in the higher numbers at preshot. Middle numbers lower but still in the high range. Will try to finesse a 2.75 unless you think we should go to 3u.
 
Yes, I would increase to 3 on a cycle you can monitor. It's interesting that you had good duration with lower preshots the second week in April and now it looks like the insulin isn't lasting 12 hours. Anything else? Food change/infection/peeing and pooing normal? How old is your insulin?
 
There are so many things that may have thrown him off track, but the diet at least has been pretty steady with the syringe feeding. He is still getting antibiotic for pneumonia, and hopefully that is working. His heart rhythm has been more irregular the past few days, and we are wondering whether the heart medication is helping. He doesn't seem distressed, but he is not very active these days. He has required Miralax from time to time, but that does work like it should. He goes to the vet later this week. Might try the 2.75 until he's checked unless it gets worse. Thanks.

PS: We started a new bottle of insulin this week.
