Yesterday

Another stressful day. Harvey did not want to eat his main breakfast this morning, after eating about half of his t/f/s meal. I gave him some Cerenia and Cypro, but he looked like he didn't feel well, and his breathing was funny - almost like he was congested. I was really concerned and almost cancelled my hair appointment, but in the end I went ahead and kept it. I worried about him all day and hurried home without doing any of the errands I had planned. He was curled up in my desk chair, but he looked a lot better. He had finished off his breakfast but had only eaten a little from each of the sections in his feeder. We just did his PM shot and he's already on his second helping of dinner. (we really need a relieved smiley)

Another reason I'm much happier is that I am trying a "new" food tonight (as in, haven't fed it in a while), in my quest to get him eating lower phosphorus foods instead of the FF he's addicted to. Tonight was Nature's Variety Instincts Beef, and he's eating it, so whoo hoo! (and anti-jinx). I am not, however, going to run out and buy a case! I will get a couple more cans to see if we can recreate this victory.

Crazy weather today - cool and windy with occasional thunderstorms. It all blows away tonight and tomorrow we start warming up - almost 90 by the weekend. It looks like cool weather is going to be gone for the foreseeable future. :( I'm not ready for summer yet!! :arghh: (not that I ever will be)

Keeping Paula in our thoughts and prayers. I'm so glad she gets to see Michael tonight. God bless Cindy.

I'm glad Harvey was doing better by the time you got home. Good news on his eating the "new" food. I hope he continues to do so. Sending prayers. :bighug:
 
I'm glad to hear that whatever was bothering Harvey passed. These guys sure know how to come up with new ways to make us worry :confused:. Hopefully the "new" food will be a keeper!!

We have contrasting weather here...it has gotten cooler again and today I had to turn the heat back on and layer up in my flannels :(. I am SO ready for summer and to be warm...my body does not like being cold at all.

Glad to hear he liked the NV beef.....and I think it's a good decision not to buy a whole case since you know what would happen if you did that!

Yo Harvey....your other deputies hope you'll make it down to the lagoon tonight....but do us a favor and just paddle around....no visiting the sharks!!
 
Harvey....am I going to have to paddle out there and drag you back in again?? You're making an annoying habit out of this! (not that I mind...after all it's my job, but jeesh~~ give a girl a break!!)
 
Please eat Harvey. I've been keeping Gerbers in business too. I take it he didn't like the Neo? I have to mix it with Max's other food so at least it cuts the phos some. I'm sorry you had such a stressful day. :bighug:
 
No, Elise, unfortunately, the Neo was a non-starter. I'm so glad I got to try it, though, because I've been wondering if it would work out. Several attempts to get him to eat it were unsuccessful. He wouldn't fall for the mixing trick, either. Picky little bugger. After eating half the can of the Instinct he has now decided it's not as tasty as he thought. :rolleyes:
