Just finished testing over the last several hours, not sure what to think...

Ok, that'll be around 9-9:30 my time, so will keep an eye out for you.:D (I'm in AZ, the only state in the union that doesn't do daylight savings time ... so it's like I'm in California in the summer and Colorado in the winter!:p This is such a weird state ...)

Hi! BG = 184 at +5. I think things are getting a little better.
 
Hi, don't know what to think today. I've been watching his food intake since mid last week. His preshot numbers are consistently in the 400's. His evening midpoint numbers are better for the most part, but not low enough. Last night I gave Harry just little over 2 units. I was home so I could keep an eye on him. This morning his AMPS was 150. So I tested again thinking I messed up. Next one was 217. I didn't give him his shot because I remembered no shot if under 200 and I was averaging the two. What I didn't remember was don't feed him and test him again in 20 minutes. Re-read that after I fed him. (not sure he could have waited 20 minutes anyway. He's crazy hungry in the morning and hardly sits still for me to test him.) At +2 he was at 517 so I gave him 2 units. I hope that wasn't a mistake. My daughter is home today and keeping an eye on him. Any thoughts?
 
Looks like it worked for today. If you can, when you get a lower preshot, wait 20 minutes without feeding (which will raise the levels - you want to shoot a "true" number). Retest. If it is rising and 200, shoot a smidge less than you shot the cycle before. You can always give him a tiny snack if he is starving - or take a shower and close the door. Me won't starve.

Remember your evening shot should be 11 hours after your am one. (ProZinc allows an early shot if the level is rising)
 
Thanks! Yes, I felt bad when I realized I shouldn't have fed him yet. I'll do better next time. Love the idea of taking a shower. :) That would work for me at least; but maybe not for my husband who would get harassed instead. But that's ok.
