The feeding strategy I used when Saoirse was on Caninsulin went as follows:

1. Half the food allocation for the cycle after AMPS test and 20-30 minutes before giving injection. (Vital to have carbs in the system ready for the hard drop early in the cycle.)

2. 1/4 of the cycle food allocation at +3.

3. 1/4 of the cycle food allocation at +6.

4. A small extra snack at +9.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

Oh okay, I just didn't know if it's like other online order sites where you submit the order, and then they hold the order, wait for the prescription, then send it.

Marks is a real pharmacy, not one of those online places with dubious reputations....if you ordered it first, they'd probably just call you and tell you they needed the script before they could actually send it

They've really got it down to a pretty good system though....if you get everything in during the first half of the day, it'll probably be on it's way that afternoon....otherwise it'd go out the next morning

If you call them back after they've sent it, they'll give you the tracking number (they may send it by email too) so you can track the package through the postal system

So you only do feeding during the AM cycle? Just to clarify. So far I feed twice in the AM cycle, twice in the PM cycle.

Awesome!

I will get the ball rolling tomorrow. :)

Oh okay!

I don't know if I could manage to feed that frequently with work and school aka not being at home on certain days during periods of time but we'll have to see how it goes.

If Carter doesn't scarf all his food at once you could free feed but then lift any remaining food 2 hours before each preshot test. Alternatively you could use a timed feeder to dispense the meals during the cycle. (That's what I used.)

He eats it all fortunately, he's really adapted to the wet food.

I'm not super familiar with feeders but I'm not sure how they would work with 3 cats. My oldest (the dominant) would bust through and try to eat everyone's food. We have to feed Carter separately to ensure he is getting all the calories.
